Questions & Answers
Pure Attraction or Destination are better suited to a sandy thin type of soil. If you're going to try a perennial, make sure the pH of your soil is at least 6. 0 if you want to use Alfa- Rack
Unfortunately, a better seed bed is required. Fusion isn't going to work well on a rock stage. Rock will be too tough for the roots to penetrate. Soil is required for plant roots to grow.
Early spring or late fall are the best times to plant Fusion. You can get your planting dates by calling Whitetail Institute. Call 800 688 3030 for more information.

days. I've seen these plants grow in drought and underwater, so they're a very tough product. still growing in power! Did I mention the number of deer that can be found in the food plot at any given time? WOW!.
I have property that was timbered ten years ago and left to grow into scrub brush until June of this year, when I hired a forestry mulcher to mulch all of the scrub. The soil was decent, but there were a lot of rocks in it, and the ground had never been planted. With a tiller, I scratched lightly but not deeply through it. The seed was strewn about and flourished. I believe my deer will be pleased with the outcome.
Here's an ag professional/farmer. Here in California, we had a fantastic spring, and we planted a great test plot with picture-perfect weather and water, which we over seeded to ensure a good yield on a small plot. For one, the bag stated. 5 acres, half of which is broadcasted. Nothing has appeared in the last six weeks. I should've just stayed with alfalfa instead. This nonsense will be disced and tilled out, and alfalfa will be planted in May. Clover is something I've planted before and it grows in a matter of weeks. Keep your business with a local seed supplier.
I've been planting food plots for over 20 years, and the clover/chicory mixture is perfect. I would recommend getting a lab soil test (Amazon sells these) to get the exact fertilizer recommendations, as well as any lime that may be needed if your soil pH is low. This is an important step to take. This was my most productive plot last fall after I planted it for the first time last spring, and it's still going strong. Every day, there are deer in the area. This bag is for a new plot of wheat that I've had for a few years. If you plant according to the instructions, you'll be surprised at how well it produces not only forage but also more deer.
This summer was unusually dry. Despite this, a significant amount of clover and chicory managed to survive. I was both surprised and ecstatic. It's a true survivor.
I only gave it four stars because it hasn't fully developed yet, making it impossible to give an accurate evaluation of the product; however, it is developing well, and the deer are using it. When it's fully grown, I expect my rating to increase to five stars. I've always had good results with Whitetail Institute products, as I have with all of their other products. The company and its products have a great reputation.
Clover small leafbr>Chicory did not appearbr>All procedures were followed.
This review was written after a nine-month wait. I was curious as to whether the seed/plants had survived the winter. All I have to do now is add some fertilizer, and I'll be ready to go. This is something I'm going to buy again.
