Questions & Answers
It wasn't difficult in the least. I put one on my old wild game feeder and it's a lot more reliable; I've had no problems with it in the year I've had it.
It's really easy to connect the solar panel contacts to the same cable. I used buckees to make an American-style feeder. The old timer was replaced by the new one. My solar panel, which was given to me by boss buck, is the best protected against varmints.
It must be kept in the same box as the battery and motor. At best, it'll withstand the elements, but it won't keep you dry. The raccoons, on the other hand, will chew through all of the wires.
Simply choose one of the six feeding times available. ect the time to dispense, then press the run time button until the time you want the feeder to dispense feed appears, then press the release button. You should be able to get run times ranging from 1 to 30 seconds, in my opinion. Then, if you want, go to the next feed time and set the time to dispense and run. It's that simple, and you won't need another timer after using this one. I don't sell them; I only have about 20. If you have a problem, the manufacturers are very willing to assist you. They've sent me replacement timers long after the warranty period had expired.

When compared to the Moultrie nonsense, it's a night and day difference. There are no instructions other than those found on the back of the box, but it's so simple to program that you won't need them. When you press one of the buttons, all of the buttons and the display light up for a few seconds, allowing you to see what you're doing even if it's dark outside. I'm curious about the location of its construction. USA? It doesn't appear to be Chinese-made, but rather heavy-duty and proudly made in the United States of America or Canada. br>br>If you need to disconnect the timer from its main source for maintenance or to replace your 12V battery, the battery insite will save your settings. Finally, the test button is very useful for seeing if humidity has blocked or clogged the feed inside your distributor without having to program a setting a few minutes later and wait like a donkey. br>br>Once again, Moultrie and other low-cost manufacturers have a long way to go before they can provide something suitable and thrustable. br>I use it to feed my captive wild boars, so it must work, and I'm not there every day of the week to test it. Hope it lasts a long time. br>br> As of now, it is well worth the money because, unfortunately, it did not come with a warranty certificate, which is perhaps the only drawback given the price. br>Thank you very much.
For the past two deer seasons, I've been battling faulty, low-cost timers. Because of its dependability, I was advised to purchase this timer. So far, it hasn't let me down; it's been two weeks and the corn is finally falling into the feeder. With this timer, the adage "you get what you pay for" holds true. br>br>Recent changes - I purchased two more to replace the timers in my feeders that were still functional. These are the only timers that can be trusted. I purchase inexpensive feeders and modify the hardware to make them excellent feeders. If you don't want to deal with feeding issues all of the time, this timer is a must-have.
It took me a while to figure out that the timer, not the battery, was malfunctioning. This timer is a workhorse that functions flawlessly regardless of the temperature. My only complaint is that the feeder does not have a way to control the spinner speed. As a result, there is no way to control how far the corn is sprayed.
From South Texas to Oklahoma to Northeast Kansas, I go hunting. Nothing irritates me more than filling feeders and then returning 6 weeks later to discover a feeder that hasn't fed in a month. I looked at gravity feeders until I came across this little guy. Don't waste your time trying to save ten dollars if you live all year for these few months at the end of the year. You can use this as a timer.
I have a couple of these and they are by far the best and most user-friendly timers I've ever used. I like the supplied connectors and how easy they are to use right out of the box. There's no need to make "better" quick release connectors like I've done with other timers in the past. The 5-year warranty is an added bonus.
Not a dependable source. It's not going to happen all the time. I have three of these, all of which I have replaced. It irritates me when you rely on this to start the motor and it fails to do so. br>Have a good time!.
Unless you purchase the more expensive but snazzy Feed sync timer with phone app, easy to use has everything you might need or want except low and high speed selections. br>br>By it because these suckers will outlast most other brands, and I know this because I've tried a lot of other brands, mostly cheaper models. In my opinion, they are the "best for the money" because of their FIVE YEAR WARRANTY and extensive field experience.
The most accurate timer on the market. Don't bother with any other timers; they're not worth your time. Nothing is more aggravating than a malfunctioning feeder; combine this with a good 12v battery and a good solar panel, and you'll be good to go for a long time.
