I used the tiniest setting on a small hand seeder. In terms of spreading, it's similar to clover. You don't want to disk it in because it will be too deep. I let it fall to the ground because of the rain.
This is all seed for the year 2019.
To help reduce browse pressure on the brassicas in the early stages, plant 25 pounds of oat per acre. Maximum has three succession rates (early, mid, and late season), so they'll get right to work eating.
If planted at the end of August or the beginning of September, Maximum will thrive in south eastern Washington. I wouldn't plant anything until around September 15th.

On August 31, I planted the Maximum mix with turnips and Dutch clover in southern Indiana. It was extremely dry, but we were blessed with a brief shower, and germination was excellent. The growth was lush by September 20. We had some low 30 degree nights in early October, and the deer began pounding it to the point where it was only 3 inches tall. We'd harvested three deer on or near it by the 25th of October!.
It was planted after the soil had been properly treated, and it grew rapidly for about 5 weeks before dying.
Once you get some moisture on this stuff, it grows like crazy. It had been raining for two weeks when it finally rained, and I believe every seed had grown. Tilling, fertilizing, and limeing were all done to the soil. I intend to purchase again.
This isn't the case. In Southern Illinois, we are in desperate need of rain. I'm going to give this product 4 stars because the flea beetles are eating it, which isn't Biologic's fault. Biologic must create a brassica that is resistant to flea beetles.
Excellent for food plots.
I use this in a three-acre food plot in combination with other brands, and I prefer to plant in the spring for the entire year.
