Holster is a poor choice
3/5

While the pliers themselves are really good, the holster that came with them is a total disaster. There is no doubt about it the holster is designed to rotate on the belt clip. It happens every time you sit down or change positions, and the pliers start falling out of the case. The holster needs to be adjusted constantly. There is a tether on the pliers or you wouldn't be able to keep Could you elaborate on why you might want a rotating holster? A new holster is on the way and I will get it from them. I emailed them and they will send it to me. As long as it is as good as the pliers, I'll give it a higher rating.

The pliers in this set are excellent at any price
5/5

I have always wanted a pair of high-end fishing pliers, but I have never found myself satisfied with myself if I owned a pair of pliers worth over $200! It is amazing how good these pliers are from Dr Slick! You'll be amazed at how easily they cut through hard mono, 60 lb of it Moreover, the holster is made of high-quality leather and the braid is very thin. These are the best and all the others are useless!.

The weight of this item is extremely light. This clip is perfect for attaching to wader suspenders.

These pliers are missing, after I lost the first pair. I have decided that without them I cannot fish!.

It Should Be Better Than It Is
3/5

Perhaps I'm becoming more picky as I get older, but these pliers should be a lot better. I love how Dr. Slick makes fly-tying fly-tying I have a tray full of their tools, so after two lower-level jobs I could use the tools for tying After purchasing aluminum pliers that were high in price, I moved on to a different brand From an affordable pair of pliers up to an expensive pair offered by a high-class company Companies with a good reputation. Please note *br*br*- There is a substantial amount of money involved It's unlikely that I'll bend these trying to remove any hook from the mouth of a tough fish or from anything else I might need to do with them. Please note
Rubber pads on both sides of the handles are very strong and shouldn't possibly tear or wear off Please note
It is nice to have the extra parts, especially the cutter blades, because they will need to be replaced frequently. Please note
A clean fit between the straight jaws was achieved. My problem was that I had an inferior-quality lower-end model Pliers with a high price tag. Please note
Rather than insisting that they are multi-purpose jaws, they are really pliers jaws An instrument. This type of jaw suits me better. There is a large difference. Although the photos don't show it, these are half yellow/gold and half green. Not quite as pleasing, these are half yellow/gold and half green. The yellow appealed to me, whereas the green did not. Do you see? A picky person. There are things that I dislike

- It is the cutters who do this A word of warning I am not a fan of line cutters Rather than using a blade and anvil, the design didn't need to be in that style. Please note
Unfortunately, the sheath is too small for the pliers, and the pliers aren't well protected. There's a good chance they'll I've got a lot to say. Please note
My lanyard is too short and does not allow me to extend it to the length of my arm even when wearing the belt sheath. Please note
Aside from the lanyard being too short, it is attached to a heavy triangular "ring" that is nearly impossible to take off in order to replace it without scratching Please note
There's a big handle on each of them - A tight seal has even been achieved on the handle. Having a big house is a problem for me As I have large hands (I wear XL gloves) and I do not like how wide these pliers are, those with smaller hands may not like them very much. Please note
There is some room for improvement in the way the jaws fit The jaws aren't horribly awful, but there's really no reason for them to be elevated above the bottom of the jaws into which they are fitted. However, until they are used in saltwater for a year, I am unsure about how well they will hold up. Since I washed them carefully after a day on the ocean, they look good so far, but there is nothing that I can see in the hinge or anywhere else a problem might be hiding. It is obvious that the little carabiner that attaches the lanyard to the sheath is not saltwater resistant since the hinge pin rusted the first time I used it My last stop was the shore before I returned to my boat. Do you rate? All in all, the less expensive pliers that couldn't grip anything should have cost half of what they are currently sold for. Honestly, these Dr. Slick pliers should have cost a quarter of the price.

I am keeping them because the jaws do fit together, and I hope to remind myself that the recognition a scissors manufacturer has does not equal great tools. It is up to you whether to buy them. The next time I use them I will probably buy something else. I think maybe. In terms of fishing pliers, I don't think I'll ever pay $300 for them, and this may be as good as it gets at this price.
