There are no flies in this package. This is an excellent box. I use it to catch trout with a small number of sreamers. I've had it for more than 5 years and have never had any problems with it - For including in my Simms Chest pack, the construction and size are excellent.
No, unless it's advertised as a fly assortment of some sort, fly boxes are always empty.

This is an excellent box. The slotted foam holds a wide variety of flies well and can withstand a lot of use. I use this box to transport larger articulated streamers, and it's perfect because of the extra depth. I wish the side clasp was a little better, but I've had no issues with it.
I use it to carry large streamers, so even though it's designed for flats patterns, it's also suitable for rivers. The slits are large enough and evenly spaced to hold flies firmly. When the box is closed, the thickness of the foam allows larger flies to fit comfortably inside. I'm very happy with my purchase and will definitely purchase more Cliff Outdoors items in the future.
Cliff boxes are among the best available. It's the same with this one. Holds a few dozen bonefish flies with ease. There are plenty of slits to arrange your flies however you want.
The fly box is well-made and sturdy. Many of the features found in modern fly boxes are missing from this model. It's not watertight, floats, or has any fancy anti-theft features. coating that prevents slippage; However, it provides your flies with a substantial and secure environment. Cliff's boxes have blue foam that is ideal for holding flies and makes inserting and removing them a breeze. It's also roomy enough to keep your valuable cargo from being crushed.
I bought this box after reading reviews for crab patterns for bonefish and permit. It's the perfect size for these crab flies. The size is ideal, and the construction is solid. I'd buy two more because the size is perfect for a hip/shoulder bag. Streamers for trout, salmon, and other species are also very versatile.
I really like the design, and it holds a lot of flies in a very organized manner.
