First, I am an avid fly caster, and I have more rods than one person should ever need. I use four different rods at all times. Most of the time I fly fish with the pieces of my travel rods. My intention was to pack this for an upcoming relocation move that I'm about to undertake, and so I purchased this carrier so that I could carry along a few items. As I packed it last night, I discovered how much of it I could fit in there. Putting six 4-inch nails into a 4-inch hole was easy for me 3 piece rods (9ft) (without their tubes actually, just rod socks), and 2 3-inch dollies A pair of rods (both under 8 feet long), several reels, 5 or 6 fly boxes, and various accessories (nippers, gloves, neck scarf, and knit cap) are contained The zip file zipped up without any issues.
