We have the smaller version of this (with a leg strap) that my 4-year-old son outgrew. My son is 55 pounds and stands at 43 inches tall. We went with the small (50-calorie) option. 75lbs). Even though it claims to hold up to 75 pounds, it appears to be a little tight. If he weighed 70 pounds, I'm not sure he'd be able to fit in it. The vest isn't too bulky, which I like. He swam in it for the first time on the lake last weekend and didn't have a single complaint. It would be nice if it had an under-the-leg chest to keep it from rising up too much around his neck and chin.
Our favorite are the Hyperlite Life Jackets, which come in sizes ranging from 50 to 100 pounds. 90lbs. This is a very broad spectrum. I was ecstatic to learn that our favorite brand offers a 50-percent off discount. A 75-pound jacket for children who are not yet ready for a 90-pound jacket. This was the perfect fit for my 8-year-old, who weighs just over 50 pounds, and I'm confident in her safety while participating in water sports this summer.
The life jacket is absolutely fantastic. We bought the smaller size of this brand 7 years ago and it held up so well that when our daughter outgrew it, we knew we wanted to look for the same brand in a larger size!! She isn't bothered by the fact that she has to wear it! It's extremely relaxing! Definitely a good investment!.
My 9. During our vacation, my 5-year-old son wore this while swimming every day and never complained. His cousins, ages 10 and 12, tried it on and said it was the most comfortable life jacket they'd ever worn, despite owning a variety of them. I loved it so much that I bought the smaller size for my twins, who are seven years old.
It's cute and light. However, the fit isn't ideal. Our 80-pound child couldn't get in because it was too small.
It performs admirably and appears attractive.
The life jacket is extremely comfortable to wear. For a precise fit, it's easy to adjust. It's also fashionable.
