Can these vests be worn in water as cold as 32 degrees? Very cold water has proven to be a problem for some vests. ?

You raise an excellent point. This is what the manufacturer says My inflatable life jacket (PFD) fits perfectly while ice fishing. Can I wear it? If the temperature is below 40°F (4°C) or with an inflatable life jacket on, we DO NOT recommend wearing one on the ice or on open water. If you have a chamber that is not firm due to cold temperatures below 40°F (4°C), oral inflation may be required in addition to manual inflation. If CO2 is used to inflate at these temperatures, the inflation time will be longer. Under no circumstances should the shoe be worn below freezing or inflated to full capacity. CO2 gas inflation time will be longer at or below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4 degrees Celsius). When wearing a partially inflated PFD in these conditions, it will provide initial buoyancy until the bladder becomes fully inflated. *BUT* BE CAREFUL Orally inflate the PFD enough to fill half the cylinder, do not use the CO2 cylinder to fill the cylinder completely. If you inflate the PFD repeatedly following oral inflation, the PFD will become damaged to the point it will not hold air or completely A pump or compressor must never be used to inflate an inflatable life jacket.

Are you able to wear it if you are big or tall? Could you please tell me how much weight you have?

I have a 300 pound son and he is very comfortable in the car.

Is it activated by a hydrostatic or plug type of device?

As far as I know, the product activates automatically once submerged. As well as a manual pull they also have

I love it! The company's nbsp Designed for great performance, this PFD is The first time I heard about it, I remained skeptical, but I fish a river that has a very fast current and that's pretty cold in the fall (water temp is 40 degrees F today, 11/11)

Swimming is the last thing you need to worry about if you fall out of my boat. Before you get swept into the lake, you need to focus on getting to the shore. To be able to wear my winter fishing gear in winter, I needed one that automatically inflated, was comfortable to wear all day, and was buoyant enough to wear all day. weigh 265 pounds, and in the above video I was just getting back from fishing, so I was wearing a heavy winter fishing jacket, thermal underwear, insulated pants, a sweater, heavy duty boots, and a hat. I am glad it worked so well. A few other things also came to light for me. Unless I used some sort of ladder, I could never get out of the water and into my boat. Here you can see me trying to get out of the pool not using the ladder, and it wasn't even close to working. My weight increased by about 60 pounds after I got out of the pool due to my wet clothing and the bulk of the inflated PFD, which made it impossible to approach the pool edge. It was much easier to swim backward than forward, so I also found that it was somewhat hard to swim forward. Heart attack. Here's how fast it took, as you can see it took about one minute. My head was kept out of the water as soon as the auto inflator kicked in. It took five seconds for it to kick in, but it did! For the Coast Guard to consider this a viable PFD, you must be wearing it, but it is so comfortable I forget I am There is one video that is sideways. We apologize.

The vest my son was wearing was one I bought him
3/5

As he was being thrown overboard in rough seas off Charleston Harbor, my son was wearing a vest that I had bought for him. Neither automatic nor manual deployment of the vest was possible. His friend managed to get the boat back to him and get him out of the water without him knowing he was stuck. This vest is one of three that I purchased. Now I won't let them use them. One for each of my kids and one for my husband.

I like the PFD, but keep an eye out for re-cycling This kit enables the user to arm themselves
5/5

PFDs like this aren't often found in the marketplace. The only way I'll know is if I fall into the beer. On the other hand, if you purchase one of these from Amazon, two reorder options appear The kits are armed. The black plastic bayonet mount threaded onto the CO2 cylinder does not fit this vest. Do not purchase the one with the black plastic bayonet mount. In your search results, I recommend you select the ASIN B0032AQQ7Q, which shows the cylinder, yellow bobbin, and green piece. Although I was credited for the purchase price, Amazon won't allow you to ship it back if you buy the wrong one. So, I guess I'm still an Amazon shopper.

The quality is excellent and the comfort is great
5/5

Similar ones were available at a big outdoor store, so I checked them out. I was confused about the price level since it was quite high. Having been a scuba diver for also many years, I know a good BC when I see one. The safety of my customers does not come at the expense of my productivity. The ones on Amazon were cheaper than the ones on eBay. They were cheap so I wanted to find out how they were. (So we won't grab the wrong one) I got my fiancé the navy blue and I bought the pink. Very light weight. Wearable and easy to put on. The shirt fits like a feather and is extremely comfortable. Why is this the best part? Keeping costs low while ensuring quality and safety is essential. The fact that we can have and wear these helps reduce the risk of being a freak boating accident statistic. The reason is that we ARE going to wear these every time we get on the boat, and we are going to wear them all It is required that the driver hook up to the ignition every time we drive, so that if anything did go wrong, the kill switch would be triggered. Activating the life vests should be quickly and ensure our heads stay above water if we fall into the The fact that I can switch these to hand inflate them when paddle boarding is convenient for me. The only thing that would make scuba diving BCs better is if they were this comfortable It will only take a short time for them to get there. I believe that for the future these should be available in other colors at a similar price I really wanted to match our vests to our boat. It is a deep green hue. As long as the price is this low, I'll be happy. I wish you all the best. While we will feel more psychologically comfortable if we wear the bulkier ones, they do no good tucked inside a compartment under the deck of the boat. I live in AZ, so it gets very hot in the summer. These are not likely to make us sweat any more than we have to. My guy is 6' and weighs over 255 pounds and you can see that he still has about three inches of strap left below his chest to secure this pdf. The fact that he fishes in tournaments and they have to keep theirs on the whole time on the lake is what he likes about his. The material is less constricting and allows you to move more freely.

Having my father use one for father's day after he had a stroke was the greatest compliment I could give him after he had been too nervous to be on the fishing boat due to his inability to swim
5/5

It was so good I bought a second one for myself after borrowing it a few times for sailing. I dropped my jacket in the water as I got out of my boat. That was the best compliment I could give. In less than a second, the container was full. I'm sure it will work! Of course, I am going to need the rearming kit now.

Just what I was looking for! After a year, here is the latest update It is true, I have answered many questions about this jacket, but never verified whether it is actually functional
5/5

When it comes in contact with water, it will inflate. The vest came into contact with the water while no one was wearing it, and yes, one side of it inflated immediately, quickly, and I'm reasonably sure that, considering the weight of the vest as per specifications, it would definitely support a person So I'm purchasing another canister, but it'll be worthwhile too now that I know what to do. This was a very nice vest, and it was a pleasant surprise, since I had an old vest of the bulky style that I wore only During the hot weather, it was uncomfortable and uncomfortable. You have the ease of movement with this vest. It is lightweight, and as another participant noted, you hardly even notice it is on. Can it be used? Can't be sure until I put my head in the water and hope I don't drown. To be sure it was functioning properly, I inflated it manually to ensure it had been thoroughly checked. While it might be a bit more work, the comfort is well worth it.
