As a matter of fact, the cutter is on one side of the pliers, and the blades are flat on the outside so Like butter, it cuts braids. Because of the long nose, I could reach out and pull the hook out of hungry bass' throats. They are a great pair of pliers, and I've had them for over The rotation of the holster is not important to me. I would prefer that it stays in the same
Thank you for stopping by Richard. This would be completely up to the angler. When fishing without baits or lures requiring the split shot you can avoid having to use the split shot by not using them If you simply want the straight nose, then you would just want the ring feature. The split ring is very useful so others would choose to just get the Split ring just in case. Both are wonderful, it is entirely the angler's choice which they will use.
There is no lock on the sheath. In the end, I ran some braid of 50lb through the two holes on the sheath and A double uni knot was used to tie the ends. By doing this, the sheath will not fully rotate and the pliers will not fall off There is something to this.

Continuing with my negative review, I am updating it. While KastKing still sent me a rusty pair of pliers that wouldn't cut anything, nothing has changed in the way they are rusted and would not cut. As a result, they overreacted After I emailed the pliers to her that evening, the next day they arrived at my door for free. As soon as I have the chance to test them out, I will update this review. The importance of the "product review" system is astounding to me. It is NEVER a good idea for me to buy anything before reading the most reviews as possible. Since I have never left a negative review for any item, I never have. In the rare event that I have experienced a problem with a given item, I have ALWAYS deferred leaving a review until the provider's customer service dept. has had a chance to resolve the problem. Here is a picture I took of the order I had placed, so you can see how This pair of KastKing pliers features a 5-inch straight nose. Of all of the reviews I read prior to making this purchase, the one I found the most helpful was Whenever KastKing provided a product, one of the most impressive things was their exceptional service team and warranty. It is very clear from research into the company that "World-class" technology is at the core Their customers are their top priority, and this is one of their key From my perspective or based on my own experience, this does not seem to be My understanding of pliers is that they cost $30 or more, but because of the reputation and track record of the company, I was willing to pay that amount. I personally liked the "line cutting" system that is built into the pliers, and it was a major selling point for me. Depending on the setup, a 30 pound test) and was thrilled when I found pliers that would cut any line I used. I have always struggled to cut any of my line setups using the pliers. I was disappointed that they weren't able to cut my line but this wasn't a deal breaker For the next two weeks, I was on the water 12 out of 14 days and I used the pliers every day. A large amount of rust had formed on the pliers by the end of the two weeks and made them completely unusable (not just the line cutter). In any event, I was upset that I'd spent so much money on a pair of pliers that were clearly defective. However, I've worked in the service industry most of my life and know that mistakes happen no matter how hard you work or how great your quality control system is. So this is one of the reasons to have a customer service department. I won't go into much detail about what I currently experience with the KastKing customer service group because the review is already too long. In my initial contact with them 13 days ago, I only stated that I had no idea what to expect from them. Initially, I received a reply four days after sending my email. Despite trying every customer service number I could find, I was unable to get through as COVID was blocking my calls Customer service is offered exclusively via email in case of a problem. This particular pair of pliers may not be covered by the one-year warranty against any and all issues. Right now, I don't know where to turn and I am at a loss as to what to do. By sharing this review, it is hoped to create some kind of action and, at the very least, help someone avoid a similar situation. Kast King will update this review whenever there is any action taken there.
These pliers have been very useful to me. This is a great deal for the price. However, there are a few things I'd like to address. This is 1. I slipped the grip off the handle of the pliers the very first time I used them, which is no big deal. Since then, the handle has not moved. I applied some 5 min epoxy at home, placed the handle back on, and slid it back on. . * *2. Also, the carabiner that secures the tether to the sheath didn't work after the first use. Although I shouldn't really complain, the situation nearly caused me to lose my pliers in the river, but fortunately they were shallow enough so that I could retrieve them. While there are some occurrences with the pliers, overall, I find the tools useful. In addition to feeling good in the hand, they're made of stainless steel, which means corrosion won't be an issue. I enjoy the extra length of the nose as well as its slim taper. helps when you are tying a fly to grab a hook instead of feathers to minimize damage to The pliers are spring loaded so that they are easy to use with one hand. The sheath of this tool is nice and practical, but the sheath requires the pliers to be turned the right way so that the cutter will fit correctly. While the holes for holding hooks while tightening knots are nice, there may be a problem fitting large hooks through them. I still very much enjoy using these pliers in spite of a few niggles.
Amazon said these fishing pliers were pretty amazing, so I was pretty impressed with them. All that Amazon said about these fishing pliers is that they did not work very well when doing these functions. There were too few holes for the hook to be inserted. It turned out that the two pliers' serrations (sawtooth) didn't line up, so they couldn't be fitted together properly. In the case of the small leader wire I use, the wire cutter could not cut through it completely. Due to the serration area that didn't line up, there was no way for cutters to It might have just been a set that wasn't lined up. I think they are the best fishing rods available on the site and at this price they are very capable. They come with all the features one might expect from a rod. It's just a matter of fixing a few things for KastKing. It's brilliant to have both a wire cutter and a line cutter. R Fletcher thanks you for your contributions.
My old pair of sheaths had gotten worn out from extensive use. So I got these to replace them. Although this new sheath was pretty good, I did notice it fell out twice on the first day of use, something I didn't mind. My old pliers had needle style grips, but the new ones had needle style grips as well. It is a great place to have the line cutter and easy to see it and cut braid and floro leader as well. The new ones seemed to work nicely, but I did notice I had a little trouble getting a good grip on the teeth at times, and I found twisting hooks out was a little more difficult than with the They work well for the price even if you use them as a backup. Although the line cutter does not work as well as when it was new, it can still be used. way the handle feels in my hands. There is quite a bit of surface rust on my pair they still work well, but they don't look good at all, almost to the point they are difficult to use and even looks ugly when pulled out. As far as getting out hooks is concerned, they work fine, but plenty of rust is showing, the sheath always flips upside down, and the pliers keep falling out. The next pair of pliers I will make will be aluminum pliers with a sheath that will stay fixed in place.
