Amazon had the product I wanted, so I bought it since Scott Archery had none in stock. The white film and paint attracted my attention after I opened the package and found that the box was adhered to the buckle of the release, causing the packaging to be noticeable. Shockingly, Scott Archery did not apologize or offer sympathy for the mistake and advised me to return the product to Amazon because of its packaging issue, because they said it had been squished under excessive pressure during shipping It was a terrible experience for the customer. They did not even place the nylon webbing in the clamp when they clamped it into the release, instead the webbing is turned to one side and not even seated. I think that this product misses the mark on detail and satisfaction for those who care about attention to detail and want a product which will help them be better in their field. The Scott release and any Scott product I have purchased in the past is not something I would buy again.
There is a problem with the strap, so it only gets two stars. As soon as I get around to it, I might soak the new leather strap in leather conditioner when I have time. I changed it out because the previous one drove me nuts. I could not imagine how the deer, bears, and turkeys would react when I drew back. Aside from the creek and noise from the strap, it has a smooth trigger as well as an extremely smooth release.
This release, even after hundreds of pulls, makes a terrible squeaking and cheap faux leather stretching sound when you pull an arrow back every time. My experience of thirty years of bowhunting, you will find this to be a deer spook when drawing back. In spite of the noise, the price point may be a good one for an individual who wants to enter the sport. Using the upgraded caliper claws, releasing the caliper is smooth and clean.
The one I'm warning buyers about is rarely reviewed, and I need to beware of it. I was looking for the itty bitty goose but this new model appears to be the The strap is at the top of the list of low quality components in this release. The noise level is too loud to be used for I cannot use it as a release with ease since the cheap springy jaws do not work as well as There is no longer a need. If Scott continues at this pace, he will be out of business within a few years. Would it be possible to try something else now?.
This is simple as you have to flop it into your hand before you attach it to the D-loop.
The Scot mongoose XT that I previously owned has been replaced. It is the flexible strap between the caliper jaws and the Palm On the legacy that is the major difference. It is only a small difference, but it greatly improves the accuracy.
I am partial to the rope style because it hangs out of the way while.
Scott releases are typical of his style. In my opinion, it does exactly what it is supposed to do, which is why I'm not upgrading to the latest release from Scott.
