Questions & Answers

Can you tell me where the dimensions are? In this case, it seems common sense to place the product in a high traffic area to ensure it's easily accessible. ?

The length of this piece is 48". In addition to their mounting points from the ceiling, bars have to be measured downward from the ceiling and decided where the best mounting points would be. A small bar is 10" or 14" from the ceiling in front of a wall or ceiling, a standard bar is 14" or 22" away from a wall or ceiling, and a large bar is 30" or 39" away from a wall or ceiling.

Can you tell me how long the mounting bars are? I thank you so much. ?

32 inches is the length of the mounting bars.

There is an 8ft ceiling in my living room. Using the 8ft ceiling bar with its highest setting, how many inches are the bar away from the ceiling? Because I am 6'1'', I am concerned that I won't be able to reach my maximum stretching effort. ?

The highest set of mounting holes in a stud bar designed for 8' ceilings places the bar 9 inches below the ceiling, the lowest set of mounting holes about 14 inches below it. If you want to get an impression of what it feels like, grab the bottom trim piece of a standard inside door frame. The mount for 14 inches would be situated about where this is. Afterwards, reach about 3 inches higher on the wall with your hands. It is here that you will find the highest setting. If you adjust the bar to its highest setting, you will only have 9 inches of space above the bar. You won't have enough room to do, for example, chest to bar pull-ups. If the ceiling is unfinished you'll have more space between the joists though. Prior to installing this new pull-up bar, I used a piece of black pipe from the hardware store mounted directly on the floor joists in an unfinished space. The only way I could reach it was by jumping. You are in good hands. It is important to perform pull ups and variations of them as part of your workout.

The ceilings of both my apartment and my room are 9' 6" so I'm not sure if I should go with 9' or 10' ceilings?

The 9' ceiling is perfect for me. My garage is 9'6" andI think it would be too low for 10'. Six feet and one inch is my height

The best bar in town The mounting hardware (bolts) are terrible
4/5

My bar arrived just now, and I am very pleased with it. I would have given it four stars if it didn't have poor Get some real lag bolts from a hardware store instead! Throw those bolts right into the trash and get some real lag bolts. As I was mounting this, it broke just as the second bolt was tightened. This time it wasn't just the head that broke off, the shaft of the bolt snapped as well. The vice grips should get the job done without a problem, I figured. Vice grips did not work the bolt itself was carved into by the threading. These bolts are flimsy and soft, and I have no idea what they're made of. A new bolt was put right next to the broken bolt after I cut it flush with the wall. After that, I replaced all 8 mounting bolts I had with some I got from the hardware store and got rid of the ones that came with it.

This is a solid product with just one minor complaint (as well as a A solid, reliable foundation They built a small model that I installed on the ceiling of my garage and gym that is slightly over 8 feet high
4/5

When the bar is lowered, the bar is just the right height, and there are 7' of clearance As a result of the lag bolts being questionable (I went out and purchased eight local steel bolts as I did not want to run into the same problems other buyers have experienced). Used a small amount of Vaseline on the bolts and drilled small pilot holes To install them properly, MFR recommends that they are cooled down with a 14v impact driver first. We had no problems in any way. It would be nice for the seller to let potential buyers know if they've solved the bolt quality issue and possibly include a mounting kit (pilot-style) with the purchase With the included instructions, you can drill holes in the template. In order to mark/punch the four holes in the four corners of the shipping carton, I cut off a side, placed it on the floor, and set one of the brackets on top. In the end, it was easy, since I had a homemade template One man job to install the whole thing (much easier than the method shown in their There is even the possibility of printing a template on a carton for the buyer. I just wanted to point out this small nit The picking process. A Stud Bar will never come loose once it's installed!.

A very sturdy construction
4/5

There is still a problem with the mounting hardware, which is inconsistent. Amount of hardware required to mount may be different. As my garage has a ceiling height of almost 10 feet, I selected the tallest door. In the end, I had to use an angle grinder to grind off the bottom mounting holes because they were The wood adapters (pictured) are a hassle, especially after they've been added. In spite of the 48" joists, I could only find 45" joists. The problem is that mounting directly to them is impossible. In light of the fact that this seems to be a fairly common problem, it would be great if the kit could address it. There were two different sizes and two different heads on the longer lag bolts that came with it. Although the reviews on this website describe the hardware as being problematic, it is surprising that the owner/manufacturer has not addressed this problem yet. My local hardware store ended up being the best choice for me, as well. In addition to the material being solid, the product feels extremely sturdy once mounted. It is not difficult for me to grip the bar myself, and I am also not prone to sweating, so it is perfect for It took me roughly three hours to do this project, between trips to the hardware store, cutting wood, cutting vertical metal mountings, drilling pilot holes, measuring a million times, etc. From start to finish, it took 4 hours. I probably could have got it done in an hour or so if my joists were 48" and the bar was just right.

A very versatile and strong person
5/5

The door pull I had became so annoying I had to get rid of it There were a lot of things that I wanted to do, but the up bar was in the way. Therefore, I collected a lot of information about several types of stud mounted pulls It has taken me a while to compare the various crossfit bars such as titan, rogue, and other brands before selecting the studbar. is the studbar the perfect dimensions (bar thickness and bar length are perfect), but the reviews, not just on Amazon, but on each of the functional fitness instructors I follow who recommended it, were also perfect, and the best part is it was available on Amazon Prime fast In addition, I love that the studbar website contains a lot of videos with how-tos with respect to installing and using You can also contact them via e-mail if you have questions about their services This company has a San Diego address and they offer mail service. My pull up bar is installed in my home office on 10 foot ceilings so I can use it all the time in spite of the temperature in my garage that is too hot or too cold. I have recently installed it in my home office and use it every single day without a problem. Wall-art is something I decided to do The pulley should be mounted It wasn't possible to hang the up bar in the position I wanted due to the direction my ceiling studs were facing. I would like the space to do things like leg lifts and attach resistance However, I have not had any issues mounting this bar on the wall. While it is still typically better to install it on the ceiling, it works just fine on the wall. Despite the fact that I have a 10-foot ceiling, I got the standard size one for 9 feet because I am 6 feet tall and wanted to hang it higher up (I hung it at 94" to avoid having objects hanging below it to close to my head). The way it is now, I like it. There is plenty of room to hang from it from the opposite direction in order to do leg raises since it sticks out 22" from the wall. This is my first plastic bar and I am very pleased with it. I only wish I had gotten.

This is an awesome product with fantastic customer service
5/5

I have never own a pull up bar before, but I decided to boost my technique with this one. I found the Stud Bar Pull Up Rig after a lot of research. It was within my budget, and everywhere I looked I could find only negative things to say about it, so I said let's give it a go. While the bar itself arrived scratched and dinged up quite a bit through shipping, we still expect that to happen during shipping. Upon returning to Amazon, I noticed an orange notification stating that I needed to contact the company directly. So I did, and after several quick emails, the company sent me a brand new bar. It arrived in perfect condition, and I installed it the next day. With a 5 foot garage ceiling and being 6 foot, I was skeptical if it would be too low, but as soon as it was installed I no longer thought it was a problem. Despite weighing 228 pounds and doing several sets on it, I have found it to be a solid machine. There is such a sense of solidity that I feel like I'm on a stand-alone rig that would be bolted to the floor. Not only have I been very happy with this product, but I have also been impressed with the.
