Questions & Answers

Is it possible to install this on a single joist or do you need to install it on two?

Installation can be accomplished with hand tools using this system. It is intended for a single joist.

Does this type of rafters work reliably for installing this in a garage?

The rafters on which I mount it are made of 2x4. So long as I keep going up and down straight, everything feels good. If you do a lot of swinging, I would be cautious. It would be a good idea to be cautious with large kip.

What are the chances it will rust if mounted outside? Is it strong enough for crossfit? Do you do pull ups in the kipping style?

Over time, it may rust even though it is painted. Water escaping through the tubes and sitting for a while will probably cause it to fall apart over time. The unit itself is very sturdy though. The lag screws are lag screwed into my ceiling joists, so it is strong enough to lift a car by. I love it. You are in good hands.

Do you have the capability of mounting ?

The device can be mounted into anything, as long as you have the right tools, hardware, and knowledge. If you want to use it on concrete, you would need anchors available at your local hardware store, rather than the hardware that comes with it.

Bars of very high strength
5/5

The product was well made. A very sturdy construction. It was only the center bolts that caused me problems. Despite my efforts, they didn't seem to go in smoothly, and I had trouble getting them screwed all of the way in. Though useful, it still serves its purpose. You can see pictures here.

rock-solid piece of equipment at an unbelievable price
5/5

First of all, I wasn't compensated or given a discount in exchange for my review. As for serial reviewers, I am not one The chinup bar can be yours for only $20. As a result of others having difficulty putting it together, I gave it a four for ease of assembly. I had to take out some bolts and replace them Some washers, for instance, are smaller than others if you pay attention. Although there are no instructions, a person with basic know how should be able to figure it out - In the example, the lock washers are between the flat washers and the head of the bolt. Although there aren't many ways you could go about doing it, I'm not sure why some people perceived that as a challenge. Although it was not perfectly flat as someone else noted in their review, I was able to put it together with no difficulties. As far as sturdiness, I was pleasantly surprised by how heavy it is, they didn't skimp on material.

I was surprised by how easy it was to straighten it out, the twist was not hard. My guess is that the people who expressed concerns about durability had issues with installation. I selected an area where the basement joists were doubled up so the full length of the bolts could be used. When I started, I used just the lower bolts on each side, and it was very With just my two legs, I weighed around 205 and it wouldn't move. Having them on hand, I also used the other ones just to be sure. I believe how sturdy an item is depends on how solid it is mounted to. Only if the house is collapsed will mine move. Also, I appreciate the fact that the top of the movement is low enough that I do not hit the ceiling as my head hits the ceiling. With this height, I'm still able to walk under it, but I'm also able to do a little jumping at the start of each rep to get a little help, then lift my legs during the negatives so the weight doesn't get too heavy. There are so many grip options to choose from. My kids, who have the potential to break virtually anything, will not need to worry about it breaking. Our doorframe chin-up bar is a big improvement over what we were using before.

This is a very solid piece of work
4/5

This can be used for a lot of things. There should be more options for installing the software. This piece is solid with multiple angles that can be used to perform a variety of core, back, arm, or arm I believe this is a very well-made product. It's here where it gets thorny Mounting it on the face of an exposed beam is the only option In the event that many/most of us want to mount this through the drywall and into a joist in the ceiling, this would be a major oversight. a giant wood screw will loosen instead of the usual bolts, fender washers, and nuts because it uses giant wood screws rather than the normal ones. My overall impression is that I am happy I bought it, but in order to get 5 stars, the seller needs to think like the customer and go.

Taking an inside look An excellent way to exercise at home
5/5

Since CV19 was introduced, I have had no choice but to work out in the basement. There are so many things I miss about With resistance bands and if you focus on bodyweight exercises, there are just so many exercises you can do. If you want to do pull-ups, you need a It is essential for chin-ups and hanging core exercises to have a pull-up bar. The reason I could not do this was because I was hanging from the basement rafters, which eliminated my option to do the exercise. We got the Iron Core pull up bar and installed it in a few hours. Easily distracted, I find it difficult to concentrate. So nice! I was pretty impressed with how easy it was to install, how sturdy it was, and how well it can handle much more weight than I can possibly put on Moreover, it has padded handles that are very comfortable to hold. In my current workout program, I do chin ups and hang leg lifts until I'm That's the truth. It is no longer painful to hold my hands, and I no longer have golfer's elbow.

This product works great and is It took some time for me to come around to the mounting, but I must say it has been quite durable so far
5/5

Our pergola over our patio is made up of beams 4x6 that support it and we use it constantly. I would not recommend any type of front to back swinging action since the way it mounts puts a pretty long lever arm on the mounting bolts. Nevertheless, if you plan on using this for pull-ups or chin-ups, then it is definitely an excellent product. You'd probably blow them out if you put too much horizontal stress on them, especially if you swing them back and forth frequently. You can choose between padded foam grips and a wide variety of widths and grips depending on what you need.

This pull-up bar is awesome! With Prime shipping, this was the more affordable option of the two pull up bars
5/5

It seemed to be an interesting product despite the lack of reviews, and I am glad I tried it out! Upon arrival, the equipment was in good condition and all of its components were present. Putting the unit together was very easy. I used a socket wrench and a drill to drill some pilot holes into my floor joist. The unit is a very sturdy one and holds my 195 pounds up quite well It is a 10/10 build quality, especially for a price that is this low. Despite the low price, the grips are nice and sturdy, the endcaps are solid, and the welding is good. Likewise, I appreciate how the ends are not curved too far downwards, as some other pull-up bars are. When I do wide grip pull ups, the ergonomics are much better for your wrist position. It's a great addition to my little home office gym, and I definitely saved some cash compared to the other options available. I appreciate Iron Core's help, thank you!.

This item had to be returned
3/5

I think it is a well-built piece of equipment, as it should be if it was designed to deal with 200-plus pounds We are going to use it for pulling ups with palms facing forward. It is, however, not possible to mount it in my garage due to the timbers. Although I was distracted by that, I still found that it is well-done The pull-up bar was designed and designed for you to do pull-ups if your situation permits. In the end, I returned it and bought a few nifty bars that attach to my five-station gym at home. It is now possible for me to do pulldowns and rows with palms facing, though I am using less weight However, those whose particular situation does indeed permit them to mount it in a garage or even on a porch should not be discouraged from doing so. This item is a rare find for people like me who have had surgery on their rotator cuff.

It cost about half of what it would have if I built There's no way I can give this thing anything less than a full mark! Even though I weigh 200 pounds, I was able to be pulled up with ease by the pulley! As its name implies, it can be used for both underhand and overhand grasps, wide or narrow, and when mounted correctly, it is rock solid
5/5

I was going to build my own pull up bar from scratch, but comparing everything this kit cost compared to my DIY build, the kit is far more attractive! Those of you on the fence may want to check out the price at your local parts store first. However, if you're looking for a joistmount pull up bar, I highly recommend this one.
