This piece is extremely sturdy and I know it will last a very long time. The assembly is very easy, and it's quite apparent that it's built to last. The only disadvantage is that it's a little difficult to install on a stud wall, since the anchor points are too far apart for standard studs. Mounting three 2x4s to the unit and mounting the 2x4s to the wall was what I ended up doing.
I had to work hard to install the software. I find this to be solid. It was a straightforward process to put it together. Depending on how you install it, you are in charge. It is impossible to understand the directions. I knew when I bought it that the posts and holes were wider than 16" studs, so when I bought it, I took that into consideration. Since I didn't have enough width, I wasn't able to purchase a model with off-center construction Due to the fact that they tend to be 32 inches or wider. My space was well suited to this one. By looking at the pictures, you can see that I used 2x4 stringers for the rigging and lag bolts to attach them to the studs. The lags and washers I used are 3/8" x 5". In order to attach the unit to the 2x4s, I used lags and washers of 3/8" x 2". The rip-out might be a bit overkill, but I do not want to tear the wall down when I am pulling out As someone who weighs 225 pounds, it did not inhibit my use of the ups. It has so far been a good experience. I do not expect any problems for my 10-year-old boy who weighs less than 100 pounds. You will need to mark where the center of your studs is. It's a little bit of a puzzle to figure out how to make it all line up and level, but if you have mounted TVs before, that should be easy. You can also find videos online that can be helpful. You need a wratchet with a long extension, preferably with a long handle to help with leverage when cranking the five-inch lag bolts. As well as providing a good anchor for the various strength band attachments, this feature is useful.
Bolt the lumber to the studs and then line it up with your.
The mounting hardware it comes with has the appearance of being flimsy, so I would never use it. When I go to the hardware store next, even the bolts that hold it together will be replaced with quality ones. I like the unit except for a wee bit of flex in the horizontal welded joints for the long arms that attach to the wall mount, which is okay as long as they are solidly welded. It will be interesting to see how they stand up over time. As far as I know, this unit is rated at 440 lbs, which I do not believe is correct. This will be the case if those welds support 280 pounds. I would be surprised if that were the case. Definitely the weak link is that horizontal pull up bar that is angled at the ends. There is one piece in the middle that joins to another and is held together with an extremely The weight is 185 pounds. There is a little flex at that joint, which is concerning to Over a door, I used 5" 3/8" lags to mount the unit to horizontal 2x4 stringers, which I lagged into the header. After that, I lagged the unit in place. For the door headers, I used 3" lag bolts that travel through the mount holes of the unit, through the stringers and through the door headers of the door. There is no way to line up the mount holes with the normal spacing between the studs. There is nothing that can harm my mounting. There is enough strength in my mounting to support 440 pounds. The welds are unlikely to be able to handle the pressure.
Pull up bars aren't cheap, but this is a great option for wall mounted pull-up bars. I have just received it and will review it in details on its durability as soon as I can. This bar is one of my favorite places for the following reasons (1) I found it to extend from the wall farther than any other pull up bar I had seen. I installed the bar just above one of the garage door tracks, so it not only adds space between you and the wall (accidental swing / kick on the wall), but it also worked well for me (I installed the bar just above one of the garage door tracks). As a result of its long design, it has ample room. (1) The attachment design has six threaded screw holes that allow the bar to be securely mounted with the included It should be noted that the holes in the bar mount are not 16 in apart, which is why I mounted three 2x8s vertically and securely on three studs and attached the bar mount to the two 2x8s, all six holes with bolt screws There is no doubt that it is I love it too, so you should,.
Since I don't have a concrete or brick wall to install it on as described, I thought I would still give it a go. Since my fiancé is a contractor, I knew he would be able to figure out how to make it work. In the garage, he made a base for the pull up bar which he secured into the studs. It was quite easy to install, except that the base needed to be made. Strong and sturdy, the bar is a great addition to any kitchen. It has not yet been tested to its full weight capacity, but both my fiance and son have hung from it together, and their combined weight is about 320 pounds. I have a 6th grader who is becoming more involved in sports and caring about how he appears. As a result of his motivating me to get the pull-up bar, he is very pleased.
As soon as I placed any weight on it, the whole thing ripped out of the wall. It looks like I'll have to go buy some better anchors to replace the junk they provided. I will write a proper review as soon as it is sturdy. I'm giving it 3 stars since it seems to be a legitimate piece of training equipment. However, I think the anchors are too cheap. From the hardware store, there were proper 1/2" anchors to secure the piece. Despite its size, this thing is tough as My garage ceiling is rather low, so I had to remove the chain and swivel after it folded up. It handled the heavy bag pretty well, however. I still find this to be a great product which does everything I need. The review has been upgraded from four stars.
There is a quality issue with this piece of exercise equipment, but nothing to the level of Harbor Freight. Is it your habit to find the cheapest price for Would you like to shop exclusively at Walmart? What is your weight? Weigh less than 150 lbs? I'm sending this to This enclosed metric class 4 is to be avoided. They are eight bolts each This would be a grade 2 in the SAE system. Do you know what grade 8 is? Yes, those are 2 of them. This product has a rating of 440 pounds There's no chance of that happening. The most disappointing aspect is that if you weigh 200 pounds you should look at something more robust. As soon as I pulled my first pull, the grips rotated. I wish I hadn't bought these since I consider them to be a serious safety hazard. I remorse having bought them. I probably would have returned the package if the box hadn't been thrown away.
