Questions & Answers

Is it possible to put this on a drywall wall?

Use caution when working with drywall. It will eventually succeed, perhaps even on the first try. Concrete is the best option. I suppose wood plank walls could work, but I'm afraid they'd be ruined. I'm sorry I bought this item.

On the hook side, how high can the trim go?

I measured it and it's closer to 4" from the door jam opening to the top of the back door trim molding.

How long is the support bar (the one that touches the door)?

39 1/2 inches is the total length of the bar.

Is it possible to use a resistance band with this bar for assisted pull-ups?

Yes, if you're talking about looped style bands. To secure the band, simply loop it around yourself and into yourself. However, you must only set it up from the top bar, which is the actual pulley system. The bottom support bar that rests on the frame should be used instead of the up bar. I use gymnastic rings on it and it works fine; however, the intended use/manufacturer of the product does not recommend or cover these activities.

It's nice, but it won't fit into door frames with wide trim or with insufficient wall clearance
4/5

It has a good design and appears to be well-made. It has been built, but it will not fit doorways with wider trim (the maximum trim width it will fit is about 3 inches). It will also not fit through a doorway that is adjacent to another wall. However, it has a few advantages: It folds up flat, and there are some small plastic pieces that are supposed to keep dents from forming on your door frame (but they're only partially effective). Advantages: br>br>
- br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> installation and removal in a jiffybr>- dependablebr>- -br>-br>-br>-br>-b Protection pieces for the door frame are likely to help a little. br>br>Cons:
- not all doorways or door configurations are compatiblebr>- Even if you use door frame protection pieces, your door frame will most likely dent =/.

I'm a personal trainer who has been doing pull ups for about 15 years and find the pull up bar and customer service to be excellent
5/5

br>At first, I gave this product a negative review because the unit I received was unsafe and defective. br>However, the company contacted me about it and asked how they could improve. I provided some feedback, and they were gracious enough to send me a revised version. The new bar I received is much better, and I'm hoping that some of its features will be included in a future production model. As a NASM certified personal trainer, I believe that a home pull up bar is by far the most effective training tool for gaining strength and muscle mass at home. Buy some gymnastics rings to hang from the bar as well, and you'll be able to work out your entire body, including your legs. Simply search for ring exercises to do on YouTube.

I used the product and it did not come with a fitness guide; however, it appears to be a good product for me; however, I am not sure if it would work for someone who is heavier
3/5

I weigh 155 pounds and stand 5'4" tall. This was supposed to be my birthday present to myself. Except for minor wear and tear and incorrect end stop placement, the item appeared to be in good working order. When I tried to pull it up, it moved slightly and made a creaking noise, so I ordered a replacement, hoping it would be a brand new product rather than a used one. Otherwise, for the price, it's a decent pull-up bar. br>br>Update: I have yet to receive the fitness guide, the padding on the bars appears to be worn out in comparison to the one I had returned, and the door frame stoppers are once again facing the wrong way, which I am unable to rotate to the correct position. I really want to like this product, but the quality control isn't up to par. Another appearance! br>br> Save time and money by using this service. br>br>.

Not just for Pull-ups, but for all in-home workouts

Ups/Chin- Ups. I wanted to wait a few weeks before writing this review so that I could give it some time to develop. br>br>I'm picky about the equipment I use for my own training and recommend to my clients. I used to put up two (more of a chin-up) years ago. a pull-up bar as opposed to a chin-up bar I had to drill into two of my bedroom door frames to install an up bar). A third of that style was not something I wanted. I spent some time researching and deciding on the type of Pull-Up Bar that I would like to use. Up bar that would enable the hundreds of different R to be used in a variety of ways. s that I'm thinking about right now br>br>Until it arrived, I was skeptical. It's easy to put up (measure your door, people), and it'll fit any standard door. I like how the braces are designed because they are sturdy, don't fall down, and don't damage the door frame. My S has even been attached. More bodyweight routines can be done with the straps. And there are times when I don't want to connect via S. I can do complex dips, bicep curls, tricep extensions, and push-ups with the straps you see in the picture. ups, as well as other ROMS br>br>Overall, I recommend this type of pull-up. up bar. It arrived in good condition, undamaged, and ready to use from this particular merchant.

You have been duped

Inside Paperwork Promotes a Different Brand I received this product today and was disappointed with the quality. It wasn't easy to unfold the bar. The metal had a cheap feel to it. My weight caused the frame to bend. br>br>Inside, there was paperwork for a different company than AmazeFan. IronWorks was the name of the company. It was also stated on the paperwork that the bar should never be loaded above 286 pounds. This is a significant reduction from the advertised 400 pounds. Which is precisely why I purchased it in the first place! br>br>Do more research and look for the genuine brand, because this isn't it.

Not safe
3/5

My husband, who weighs 170 pounds, tried a pull up and the bar shook. It was correctly installed, but it does not appear to be secure. Our door is standard, but I don't believe any door frame is designed to support that much weight with this design. I've made use of the ideal fitness pullover. Before, I used a pull-up bar that worked well and felt secure. br>br>Update 8/22/19: We were forced to return due to safety concerns. br>br> br>Vendor contacted me and apologized for the problems we had, promising to pass our concerns on to the designer so that the bar could be improved. We were given a full refund as 100% satisfaction guarantee per their description in 100% satisfaction guarantee per their description in 100% satisfaction guarantee per their description% I will leave my rating on the bar itself as is because the vendor was very nice and easy to work with.

There are a lot of caveats with this apparatus
3/5

I got this to hang on my tallest door so I could work on improving grip strength, negative pullups, and getting more pullups in. Although it appears to be quite sturdy, I have the following concerns: 1) The bottom bar that pushes against the vertical frame of your door is made of hard plastic. Anti-furniture spray was used. So that the bar doesn't damage my door frame, I'm going to slide thick pads underneath it. Because of the bar geometry, the two upper mounts that sit on top of the door frame apply significant horizontal pressure to the drywall above the door frame. This caused the two pads to dig into my paint finish, removing a small amount of wall paint and spackle in the process. After I fix the two spots with mud spackle and new paint, I figure I'll need to put a hard surface to contact the pads to protect the wall. br>3) The angled ends are useless unless you're extremely tall and have broad shoulders and long arms. On both ends, this should be 6 inches closer. br>4) The angled ends are at an incorrect angle because they were designed to lay flat when the door supports were folded for storage. The angled ends of the bar do not point down as they do in the gym when it is mounted on the door frame. br>br>For the time being, average 3*.
