The angle is just shy of 90 degrees. Does not sit properly.
I based my purchase on the previously stated "outside dimension" of 47 inches, only to discover that it was incorrect. The bar-holding bracket measures 41 inches on the outside and 37 inches on the inside.
The metal pegs are 1 inch in diameter. They do, however, come with 2" plastic sleeves that will fit Olympic plates.

I'm very pleased with the $119 price; other sites had the same rack for $249. The rack is 32 inches wide and 32 inches long. 5" x 49. 5" x 63". This rack will require a minimum of a 72" bar.
I've seen some complaints about things like sturdiness and the like, but for the money, this thing is spot on. It's fairly sturdy, and for me, it's a significant improvement over the wobbly ass Walmart special, which was nearly the same price but included an integrated bench. I realized that I would have to spend a little more to get what I desired. I'm using a 72 inch bar on this rack and it fits perfectly. The distance between the pillars is wide enough for my wide body to comfortably do bench presses without hitting the rack, which was impossible on the Walmart special because that bar was like 4 or 5 feet wide. It is barely noticeable if it wobbles. I have no concerns that it will move on me, causing me to lose weight and injure myself. If this isn't enough, then stop being so cheap and go out and buy a $2500 set. Lifting with a $150 rack isn't supposed to be a lifesaver.
It's impossible to put together because the holes are too small. I couldn't register the product because there was no serial number on it, and I couldn't use their online self-help because I couldn't register it. I attempted to communicate with a live operator, but their interface is inoperable. br>br>This is the biggest pile of garbage I've ever seen, and I'm so annoyed that I have to pack it back up and even deal with a return. I'm not trying to be rude, but this is a common problem with Chinese junk: there is no quality control.
I was looking for a simple weight bench like the ones that were commonplace 20 years ago. There are no frills here, but it's a solid piece of furniture. I thought I'd found one here on the bench, but I was mistaken. There are two major issues to address. br>br>To begin, the "frame" is attached to the uprights using only two M8 bolts. The bench wiggles a little back and forth, no matter how tight the bolts are. If used within the bench's recommended limits, it should be fine, but a good weight bench should not wiggle. Second, despite my long legs (34" inseam), I am unable to perform a bench press with my feet on the floor without arching my lower back. Not good. To flatten my back properly, I need to place my feet on the "leg lever" pads. br>br>I'll keep and use this bench because it'll do the job. However, I wish I had spent a little more money and purchased something that works better.
The unit is simple to put together. You'll only need a wrench. It took me about 40 minutes to get everything set up. br>The rack is extremely durable, and the price is unbeatable. (About 130 including tax)br>Make sure you have an Olympic bar before purchasing the rack; otherwise, it may not fit due to the large distance between the two arms. Also, due to its large footprint, make sure you have enough room in your space.
Using a 5 ft bar, use the Weider Platinum Standard Bench, Black. When going wide with a 5' foot bar, the grip is narrow; it'll work, but be careful not to pinch your meat when racking. _ _ _ _ After the fact, P realized what he'd done. ) I should point out that the grease is taped to a plastic bag. br>My height is 5'11" and I'm a female. it (I? (It was a good fit. ) After a 45-minute workout, I'm pleased with my purchase so far. Tomorrow will be exciting!.
It cost $120 at the time of purchase, and I have no complaints now that I have received it. It's very effective at what it's supposed to do. The only drawback is that this thing has a maximum weight limit of 300 pounds, but other than that, it works and is inexpensive.
It's well-made. Adjusting the height is simple and quick. All parts were present and in perfect working order. There is no restriction on the amount of weight that can be carried. I'll never be able to lift that much weight. The assembly is simple. It's also a nice rack to look at. By not installing the slide on the Olympic sleeve, I was able to use a standard barbell and the plate storage could also hold 1 inch plates. This rack has made me very happy.
