I needed a sturdy IPF bench that was 16 inches tall. 5”- Because of the pandemic, I needed a 5" bench for benching in my rack. Unfortunately, none of the major US gym equipment companies I've used in the past had any in stock, so I went with the TTCZ, which looked good and sturdy and was inexpensive, figuring I'd just buy another if it didn't work out. br>br>Wow, I was taken aback! This is a very sturdy and well-built Bench. I'm 265 pounds and I've benched 425 pounds raw with it. At 475 pounds, I've done bench lockouts in the rack. This is exactly what I'm looking for, and it's the right height for me. Despite the fact that the front legs are not a true single post, I find that they do not interfere with my bench form. It is not something I intend to replace. I like the color, and it's very nice for the price.
This bench has been used in my home for flat barbell bench presses. It appears to be strong enough for my average body weight and work-related activities. weights. br>br>I'd like the top board to be a little thicker; It appears to be a couple of centimeters of balsa wood particle board with a firm cushion. br>br>I like that this bench has lateral supports for the top from the frame (unlike several others I looked at). br>br>The assembly went off without a hitch; Attaching the arched feet to the frame was made a lot easier with an adjustable wrench and a ratcheting socket wrench. br>br>Beware of the caveat emptor: If the acronym "FID" appears in conjunction with this product, it does not mean that it is a "Flat/Incline/Decline" bench. It's a no-nonsensical statement. Only the flat bench is adjustable. That's exactly what I was looking for.
For the money, this is a fantastic flat bench! I was looking for a sturdy flat bench to do some benching at work and came across this little beast. It's easy to put together and you can feel the quality and heft when carrying it. At 5'6" and 235 pounds, the 16" height and width are ideal for my size and leg drive, and the third leg is ideal because it doesn't interfere with my feet while benching. I haven't slid back on the pad while using it, so the grip is adequate. I've had the bench for a little over a month and the pad is still in good shape. I benched 405 pounds on it with no issues, and it's a great bench for the money if you don't mind not being able to move it around because it doesn't have wheels.
but. First and foremost, this bench is excellent value for money; it has good heft, does not wobble, and is sufficiently comfortable. However, the way the bench surface hangs over the edge (lengthwise) irritates me greatly. There is no frame support beneath it, and the material is too weak to support my cantilevered load if I sit there. br>br>When I want to lie down on the bench, I think I should be able to sit on one end first, so the flimsy board doesn't crack and sag. Although it does not appear to be drooping, it now flexes. br>br>It's still a good deal for the price. However, there is so much more that could be done.
I had just finished putting it together and was about to move it to its final location when one of the leg welds failed. When I turned it over to examine it, the other weld failed and the leg collapsed. I've never had the opportunity to sit on it.
I'm a big dude who needed a sturdy bench. The bench arrived on time, and it was simple to put together with only a few tools. The padding is thick and pleasant to the touch. This is a solid piece of equipment. I weigh 430 pounds (195 kilograms) and this bench does not wobble in the least when I use it. It's a fantastic product with a fantastic price tag.
If you're looking for a sense of security and strength, this is the bench for you. It's a lovely bench, just the right size (I'm 5'6" and a smidgeon short), and it's SOLID! It's undeniably reassuring to know that you're safe when you're doing bench press.
My previous bench collapsed as I was finishing a set of bench press. Fortunately, I was not injured, but I needed a new bench as soon as possible. The TTCZ Flat Bench arrived on time, was simple to assemble, and is both sturdy and durable. The investment has paid off handsomely.
