ehhhhh, if AmazonBasics can't figure out how to put a critical piece of information like a weight limit on their description, then ask as many times as necessary so that buyers don't buy it only to find out later that it can't support their weights, and then return it, causing the next buyer to be annoyed by the returned open package!
Gender or age have no bearing on the ability to put something together.
Wax is 385 pounds in weight. I'm not sure how thick it is.
Wayne P. If you don't know the difference between pounds and kilograms, here's what the user manual says: "The user, a weight bar, and weights are all designed to support a maximum of 385 lbs (175 kg) on the weight bench."

I work out with dumbbells at home; I'll explain why this bench's construction and dimensions are ideal: The bench is 18 3/8" tall from the ground to the top of the seat. Because of the cushioning in the seat, I'm about an inch shorter when I sit on the bench. On my carpeted floor, the bench rests flat, with no wobble (this is not the case with all benches). The framework is extremely sturdy. I had a $110 bench with a seat that was only 16" from floor to top of seat and about an inch less when I sat on it, despite the fact that it was well made. My knees hurt from sitting and standing on the bench. This Amazon Basics Bench, on the other hand, is the ideal height for working out. It's an excellent height for dips and cross-country skiing. Pullovers on the bench, as well. The steel used in the construction of this bench is thick enough to support weights and an adult male; and the parts are cut and welded with precision. br>br>I noticed that one reviewer mentioned that the vinyl pad didn't last long. I'd rather have the pad's stitching/trim repaired than do it myself if the stitching/trim comes undone. That's how good the bench is. And the person who made a remark about the bench seat could be an outlier. On days when I don't feel like doing standing exercises, I work out with my bench. As a result, it's a part of my workout at least three times a week. Whatever the case may be, this bench was 100% or of the box; and all parts were on board, including bolts, washers, and nuts. br>br>If Amazon wanted to improve the hardware, I'd recommend replacing the Phillips head bolts with stove or carriage bolts; and punch a square opening to match the inner collar on the stove/carriage bolts, which prevents the head of the bolt from turning when the not is tightened, in place of the round holes at the base of the legs. This is a five-star bench in my opinion for my at-home office. The padding and vinyl are in the same condition as when I purchased the bench. This is what I do six days a week: bench presses, flies, and cross-overs are all exercises that can be done on the bench. Dips and bench pullovers are some of the exercises that can be done on the bench. And I never put my weights on the bench; instead, I put them on the floor or a makeshift table that I have, and the height is still comfortable for me. When doing cross-training, the bench is also extremely stable. Bench pullovers are a good exercise to do when other, less expensive benches can rock back and forth. When getting into position, go back and forth; When I do the other bench work I do, it's just as stable. After three months of use, I haven't noticed any flaws. This is an exceptional buy at $50, based on what I've learned from looking at other benches and what I'm seeing in places like the few remaining sporting goods stores. br>br>December 28, 2019br>This bench is still going strong after nearly a year of use. There are no cracks in the vinyl cover, and the stitching looks brand new. The bench is in the same condition as when I first got it. I'll double-check the lock nuts on the foot bars and tighten them clockwise if necessary. Whenever I work out, I shift the bench. Over the course of a year, the lock nuts have loosened. For the foot, I removed a 17mm socket. Now that the bar nuts are tight and the seat nuts are 14mm, the entire bench is secure. The nuts would not have loosened if they had been secured with a product like lock tight. br>br>3rd of July, 2021 - I gave my bench to a friend and waited for Amazon to restock so I could reorder another-br> I'm not getting rid of this one! It arrived today, and while I was worried about the quality, I'm happy to report that the materials, for, and finish are all of the same high standard. The new bench is a reincarnation of its predecessor. br>br>Finally, it's an excellent addition to any home gym. Note: According to the enclosed literature, the bench's maximum weight capacity is 385 pounds.
My bench arrived today, and I put it together right away. The rubber feet caps, stitch keeper, hardware, provided tools, and packaging are all disappointing to me. Due to the metal legs in thinner cardboard packaging, my package had a few tears from shipping, which is to be expected. My hardware was loose inside the box when I opened it, and I was lucky that no bolts, nuts, or washers were missing. Their flimsy ziplock bags tore open inside the box. The bolts were all of very low quality, and the sizes were not even standard metric. It would be preferable to use a grade 2 bolt. The metal has a delicate feel to it. I had to use my own tools because the ones provided did not fit well. The hardware for the legs still wanted to strip, even with a properly sized Phillips head screw driver. Because the hardware wasn't long enough, the nuts for the legs didn't get a full thread engagement. I recommend buying your own hardware from a local hardware store because the legs are bolted on with through holes. The rubber caps on my feet appear to be a little loose, so I'll have to be cautious when moving around. Finally, we arrive at the silver plate, which appears to be used to secure the stitching. It's already starting to rust. For the time being, I'm going to give this unit three stars. It's a good size for storing and appears to be sturdy for the price.
It's not some cheap lightweight POS, and I'm pretty sure it can handle far more than the stated maximum weight of 385 pounds. I'm 6'1 and about 220 pounds, and I've benched more than my weight on this bench with no problems. There are no wobbles, the bench is very sturdy, and there are no frills.
The item arrived in two days, well packaged. It took me about 8 minutes to put this together. 5 - Time limit: ten minutes There was not a single complication. The directions are simple to follow. The bench is sturdy and well-made. It's small enough to fit in my studio apartment without taking up too much space. It's lightweight and portable. It's sturdy enough to give you a great home workout. Great product. Recommend.
It isn't particularly exciting, but it is a reliable and functional bench. It's simple to put together, and I don't have to worry about it snapping if I stand in the middle of it (I'm currently 255 pounds). When I'm finished working out, the padding is firm but comfortable enough to use as a chair. There are no complaints because it does exactly what I need it to do.
It's well-made and does its job well. It only took about 10 minutes to put it together. All of my equipment was present and accounted for, so there was no issue.
It was simple to put together, and when I tried it out, it worked perfectly. My only complaint is that I paid full price for new items, so why are you sending me used items? I had to clean the bench because it was covered in dirt and rust; however, it is a lovely bench. The tools are also woefully inadequate, with the Phillips screwdriver provided being too small to provide any kind of leverage to even turn the screw. Apart from those non-essentials, it's a lovely bench that's also very functional, thank you.
