They don't have a slick look to them. The dimpled wood grain top matches the mat's texture. The mats are nice, but high traffic wears them down, and they need to be tightened. To be clear, I'm referring to extremely high traffic, such as 5000 people walking through it in two days. Overall, the mats are very nice.

Mine were in a massage parlor, and they held up well despite the high volume of traffic. I'd spill oil on them and, despite wiping it away, dirt seemed to collect in those areas, and when I tried to clean them, some of the print came up, exposing the foam. I'm not sure I'd buy another set with a printed pattern on them; instead, I'd opt for the solid-colored foam tiles without a decorative top.

I don't usually write reviews for products that perform as expected, which is how I came across these mats, which I've had in my dance studio for the past four years. However, I recently purchased additional tiles to add in a different area of my studio and purchased a product that was so inferior (subsequently returned and replaced with another purchase of these tiles), that I felt compelled to highlight what's great about this product. br>br>First, for yogis, the coating on the tile is a great lightly sticky surface that allows you to hold your pose more easily without adding a yoga mat. As a dancer, this can work in both directions: sometimes you want more slide, and this floor doesn't give as much as one that isn't coated; however, I prefer it because it feels less likely for someone wearing socks to lose their footing, which was a liability concern for me in the studio. br>br>In terms of liability, these mats are hefty enough to stay flat on the floor. Compare them to the less expensive mat, which bows and rises up on the edges. (Photos 1 and 2 are of the same person. ) (left: cheap mat, right: these mats) The cheaper mat was so bad at staying flush with the floor that I tripped on the edge several times and had to put carpeting around the edges to keep my clients from tripping. br>br>Then, if you look at the back (third photo: ), you'll notice something interesting. These mats on the right and the cheap mat on the left), you'll notice that these mats are solid, whereas the cheaper ones have a cool looking pattern that contributes to the bowing by removing some of the mat's weight. br>br>Unexpectedly, because I assumed these mats were 2 foot, you'll notice it's 2 foot and a quarter inch. Depending on your expectations, this could be a good or bad thing. It was a pleasant surprise for me. (4th- If I had one complaint, it would be that the coating on the tile that gives it the fake wood flooring effect isn't as durable as I would have liked. To begin with, a solvent cannot be used on a floor. We dropped something and tried to clean it up with alcohol, which almost immediately removed the coating. We had no idea that would happen, and the tiles were still fairly new, so it was a major disappointment. Aside from that, the finish has worn away significantly in the areas of the dance floor where the most footwork occurs. (Last photo) It could look better, but it doesn't make a difference in terms of functionality. Despite this, I don't believe I would have chosen a different tile because the lightness of the color is appealing and brightens the space far more than expected. In fact, I was so pleased with the product that I ordered more, which says a lot.
Painting was the last thing I wanted to do. I was adamant about not gluing linoleum down. The idea of using a carpet was ruled out. Then it occurred to me that Lowes sold piecemeal. mats in a group I came across these mats while looking through Amazon to see what they had to offer. I decided to give them a try after reading the positive reviews. At first, I intended to place it in the room's center. I decided to do the entire room after receiving them and putting them down. As a result, I placed another order. I figured that since these aren't designed to go under furniture, especially metal shelving, and I didn't want to move everything out of the room, I'd just put it on the shelving. I was astounded by the results when I finally did. It resembles my laminate flooring in appearance. I also have the sensation of walking on air. My new floor is fantastic. Advantages: br>br> It's simple to set up, unless you do it the way I did, in which case it requires some thought. br> The flooring is lovely. br> Walking on it is very comfortable. br> The price is reasonable. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. None.
This flooring was a hit with my fellow art-show neighbors when I used it for a booth at an art show. On the day of setup, I began laying this floor down, and every other artist in the vicinity approached me and inquired about where I got this fantastic flooring. It gave my booth a very professional appearance. They're a little delicate around sharp objects like the wall panel legs, but they stood up to three days of foot traffic with no issues. As I previously mentioned, chair legs and other sharp elements may leave marks or indentations. One section was exposed to the harsh Miami sun for a few hours and had no problems, despite the fact that I had read about other mats of this type suffering from blistering when exposed to direct sunlight. I've never experienced anything like that. Overall, this flooring gave my booth a professional appearance in comparison to others, and the cushioning provided by the foam was appreciated by all who entered. I'm very pleased with this product and the application for which it was designed. It's fine for temporary flooring, but because of the issues with chair legs and other sharper objects mentioned earlier, I wouldn't recommend it for something more permanent.
This is fantastic! Until I tell them, no one notices that they aren't real wood floors. On the feet, they're fantastic! It's very simple to set up.
BUT! (These are suggestions, not complaints, for the next guy. ) )br>1) You lose track of the pattern because the installation is so quick and easy. When you turn around, you'll notice that four of the tiles are facing the wrong way! It's not a problem if they're Full Tiles, but cutting them for an edge piece is a waste of time. I've heard similar complaints from a number of other people. Take note of this! br>2) If you look closely, the seams can be seen. Nobody who inspects them is going to be fooled. But who cares; they're unbeatable in terms of comfort and price. br>3) The darker floors have the same light-colored foam underneath as the lighter floors. As a result, the seams are even more visible!
NOTE: (We Sell Mats) has been contacted. I suggested that they change to a darker foam for the darker floors, and they are just as awesome as the product. They stated that ordering the change to production would take time, but that they are investigating it. br>I also recommended using a different interlocking system that hides the seams. They were incredibly receptive, if not enthusiastic! Again, production changes may take some time, but improvements should be visible in the coming months. I completed three rooms and am pleased with the results, but I'm holding off on doing any more until the improvements are complete.
