Questions & Answers
Outside use is unquestionably acceptable.
nope
It's similar to a car tire in that it's made of solid rubber.
If it was wet, it would be a little slick, but not too bad. They're made of a very light rubber material, not the kind you'd find in a gym.

This flooring is ideal for use beneath our exercise equipment. Within one garage bay, we ended up with 32 tiles. The top layer of rubber is firm and pleasant to the touch. I wouldn't drop heavy weights from above my head onto this (because I don't believe it's thick enough), but it's a great workout surface otherwise. One thing to keep in mind is that if you leave a heavy object in one place for an extended period of time, it will leave an indentation in the floor tiles that will rise/disappear after a day or two.
The rubber layer on top of the EVA foam is far too thin; it should be 1/4" thick (rather than 1/8"). The tiles interlock well enough to be functional, but the seams never stay perfectly flat, resulting in hard zig-zag tile joints protruding from the floor. In addition, the EVA foam layer is too soft and compresses too easily, exacerbating the problem of joint separation. I was able to solve this problem by placing double-sided carpet tape beneath some of the tile joints. Finally, some of the tiles had a color fleck in them, which wasn't a major issue but was still noticeable. When the packages were first opened, the odor was strong, but after a week, it was barely noticeable.
Garbage: I attempted to use it as a home gym floor. br>Waste of time and money. br>br>1) Quality assurance is a joke. I returned one set because it had so many flaws (different shades, uneven cuts, etc. ). They sent me another set with the same problems. br>2) They don't stay in shape: Because the foam is of poor quality, placing weights on it for a few minutes causes it to be impacted, resulting in a nice dent in your flooring. br>3) If you want to put more than three in a row or column, use double-sided tape to keep them in place. Use double-sided tape to secure some of them. br>4) Water is sucked up by the foam at the bottom. A small amount of water got in through the garage door and was sucked up by the edges of the foam tiles, resulting in wet foam tiles 2 to 3 rows in. If you want to use it as flooring, you'll have to seal the edges in some way. Spills will lead to mold/mildew because the teeth are so imprecise.
I concluded that they were most likely the same and that these were significantly less expensive--I tested them side by side and found that they are the same thickness! They are in the neighborhood of 11 years old. 2 mm in thickness- in the range of 38 to 12" Velotas underspecified theirs and charged less, while the other company advertised it as a 12 but it isn't.
With a box cutter (and a brand new blade), I was also able to make clean cuts in the pad to fit around the support beam at the back left corner of the wall. Because each square has its own removable border strip, the pads can be tailored to fit any space, regardless of the angles. Unlike other sets with fixed edges, you won't have to worry about wasting a corner or side piece. br>In image 2, you can see all the different sizes. On the pads, I now have the weights of the equipment I have. The system of weighing machines Both the elliptical and the circular were moved a little from their original positions, leaving only indents in the pad with no signs of tearing or cracking, indicating that the pads aren't sturdy or thick enough. br>The only thing that isn't "perfect" about them is the color variation between some of the squares. It gives the impression that the pieces are from various sets. I did buy two sets to fill the space, but the varying tones were only found in one of them. *You might want to unpack them if you're going to use them in a room with poor ventilation. Place in an open area for a day or two to air out- They do have an odor that some people may find offensive. After a few days of driving in and out of my garage, the odor seemed to fade. If used in a home interior room, I'm not sure how long it will last.
All I have to say is that they're in full-on beast mode. These aren't the kind of mats you'd find in a store. High-quality, long-lasting, heavy, and substantial. It was simple to put together; all you had to do was pay attention to what you were doing. The only thing I have to say about them is that they STINK. I disinfected and tried to remove the odor with cleaning spray, but it was extremely strong. I'm hoping it'll go away over time! Aside from that, I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for serious mats. The rubber top is well worth the extra money! br>br>Hint: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov I went out and bought some mat tape. Many customers on Amazon have complained about these puzzle interlocking mats moving. To begin with, these are not light mats; they are heavy, and they are unlikely to move even if you did not purchase the tape. Second, I believe that other people are purchasing mats with the standard 1/2 inch design; if this is the case, the tape is definitely needed. a must "Meister Double-Action" was the brand I purchased. XL Double-Sided Floor Mat Tape". If you believe it is likely to occur. I've had no problems moving around on these mats.
I've been doing this for a few weeks now. It appears as if they are firmly attached to one another. The joints aren't exactly smooth, but they may smooth out over time - But, on the other hand, they might be able to lift more? The joins were tapped down with a rubber mallet. However, it does what it says, and I believe that the 3/8" thickness is adequate for exercising on a concrete floor - It's in my garage right now. They appear to be fairly durable, but only time will tell, and I'm not putting any heavy gear on them. The difference in price between these and non-alcoholic beverages is significant. Rubberized mats appear to be a bit pricey.
The foam makes them lighter, and the rubber makes the top extremely durable (we have a clawed cat, so this might help our exercise flooring last a little longer). Because of some inconsistencies in the way these were cut, some of the tiles fit together perfectly while others didn't, but they'll do for now. We've only recently installed them, so we can't comment on long-term quality or durability, but they were simple to install and add a nice touch to our basement.
