Questions & Answers
They do not absorb water because they are made of very hard rubber, but if they are submerged for an extended period of time, they should be dried because I believe mold could grow.
They've helped protect the wood floors by being used under my bike.
It isn't a mat, believe it or not. They can be evenly distributed beneath the front. the treadmill's backside
In the photo, it appears to be curved, but it is not.

This was purchased to go with my new treadmill (Weslo Cadence G 5. 9 Treadmill)br>br>Because I live in an apartment, I purchased this to help with noise and vibration reduction. I need to use the treadmill, but I don't want to annoy my downstairs neighbors. I've established the following ground rules: br>br>
- There are a lot of layers to reduce our noise footprint (pun intended).
- To decrease treadmill friction, I purchased silicon lubricant. (Spot On Silicone Treadmill Belt Lubricant)
- I try to use the treadmill only at certain times of the day (never late at night or early in the morning). br>br>The setup (3 Layers):
- The base layer is a standard Walmart thin outside/inside carpet (basic a large mat)br> - EVA Foam 1/2 inch ProsourceFit Puzzle Exercise Matbr> - The BestXD Treadmill Mat (High-Intensity) is a high-intensity treadmill mat. These are just a smidgeon longer than the very back of my treadmill. I decided to center them after turning them diagonally. Still, they work fine, but an inch or two larger would be ideal.
This was purchased to reduce the vibrations on my treadmill. When I run at 6 mph, the treadmill on our floor begins to shift. Not good. So I went out and bought these rubber pads. They have a heavy-duty feel to them, which surprised me. I wouldn't be surprised if this was made from recycled car tires because it feels so solid. I set them up in the corners of my treadmill, where they would make contact with the ground. My treadmill is now firmly in place, and it feels more stable overall. It's highly suggested!.
On a carpet, this thing is great, but on a hardwood apartment floor, it's not so great. This is particularly true if you live on the top floor. Even though I was barely running, the vibrations from the hardwood floor were still audible. My treadmill machine weighed around 300 pounds, and I'm 180 pounds. So I returned that machine and purchased a smaller one for my wife. br>br>Now my wife runs on the carpet with no noise or vibration on the other small treadmill. It's a lot better now. The new treadmill weighs about 100 pounds and is much smaller than the old one. This is a good fit for the smaller space. Overall, these will not work for you if you have a heavy treadmill and live on the top floor of a hard floor apartment.
existent. I'd have to agree with the other reviews when they say it's like having nothing. Full-sized rubber equipment mats, which are roughly the size of drink coasters, can be purchased at Menards for $10 more. These will work for those who want a smaller footprint in their workout area to protect their floor, but in terms of noise reduction, they didn't do anything for my Weslo treadmill that the $5 foam mat didn't already do, which is why I bought them.
They can be placed under a variety of machines, such as treadmills, as well as furniture and tables. The mats appear glossy in the product photo, but they are actually made of a hard, texturized rubber. They have an odd odor, but that isn't a big deal because of their function. These mats are multi-purpose and ideal for protecting floors from heavy items.
They're still in excellent condition after a few months of heavy use.
This has been used in conjunction with my cross trainer, elliptical, and bike, and it has made a significant difference in terms of stability and acoustics when compared to a tiled floor.
These pads are nice and thick, but they slide around on my treadmill as I run. It's a good idea, but I'd recommend getting the mat instead.
