They wouldn't send me a new one because it came with a broken shackle.
The sanding isn't up to par. First, it is made in the United States, as evidenced by the photo. Made in China, 1/4" chain. br>Places where the links are welded have been poorly sanded, resulting in the majority of the links having pointy places that can easily scratch your skin. Returning 1/4" and getting 5/16 in return. The 5/16 should be a lot better.
Purchased to use as a lake anchor for a pontoon raft. The chain has been in the water for a season and is still in excellent condition. When it came time to take it out at the end of the season, I had no trouble removing the shackles. Because our anchors have moved, we now require additional chain - I will most likely purchase the same item (albeit in a different length) in the future. It was a breeze to work with!.
This chain will be used to moor the boat. Throughout the summer, it floats in the lake. After 5 years, my galvanized (non-stainless) chain was quite rusted. I'm hoping for a long time with this one. br>br>Excellent value for money; appears to be of high quality. The only way to find out is to wait.
It was exactly as described. Chain is 6 feet long and is made of 316 stainless steel. There are no burrs or gouges, and the quality is excellent. On my 21-foot boat, it does exactly what I need it to.
Stainless anchor chain at a good price. The product appears to be of good quality.
