I've been using Sta-Rite for quite some time now. Set line for running rigging and enjoy its low stretch and durability. br>br>This line can be spliced, but it takes a little practice. Recognize that not all ropes are created equal, and that not all materials and construction methods will be suitable for all applications. For instance, if you want something with even less stretch, you could go with Sta-Flex. Set X line; if you want more stretch, a nylon line instead of this polyester is a good choice.
It has a low stretch, is easy on the hands, and lasts a long time, making it ideal for sailboat sheets and halyards. Not for use as a deck line or anchor rope where a high stretch rope is required to reduce shock loads on your boat.
It was an excellent value for money. Soft to the touch I would strongly recommend this item because of its size.
For sailboats, this is a great line. On my ranch, I was tired of having to replace subpar line on a block and tackle hoist. This stuff won't give you a sunburn, and it feels great in your hands while you're using it.
