Questions & Answers

I'm looking for a Morryde shackle kit uo12- What is the telephone number 023?

Call Morryde customer service; they have excellent customer service.

How do you determine the length of a shackle? My existing bolts are 2 1/4" to the threads, but the springs are 1 3/4" wide, and I don't have any bushing sizes. Do I need to order more?

I measured the length of my existing shackles in the same way, from the center of the bolt, and the new ones should be the same length.

Is it possible to get some measurements? What is the length of the bushing? How big is it on the inside? What about the outside radius?

The bushing has a length of 1 3/4 inches. is . 694 in I. is . 580

Will this kit fit a Ranger Trail boat trailer with two axles?

Before ordering any kit, get in touch with MORryde. They are extremely knowledgeable about applications and are extremely helpful.

I'm glad I went through with it
5/5

In a nutshell, I purchased this. I installed it on my own. I was able to make it through the ordeal. I'm glad I went through with it. If you're looking for a lot of information, this is the place to go. Continue reading to learn more. Please take note of the following: br>br>PLEASE NOTE: I'm referring to the parts that come with MORryde's CRE3000, not just this shackle upgrade. Don't expect to be able to accomplish everything I've listed below with just the shackle upgrade. Because the CRE3000 and the CRE2000 are related, I wrote a similar review for the CRE3000. br>br>I made the decision to upgrade the suspension on my 2006 26' travel trailer on the spur of the moment. Myself. In my driveway, to be precise. I've never attempted anything similar before, but how difficult could it possibly be? br>br>So, without telling my wife about my grand plan to convert our driveway into an RV maintenance yard, I ordered the CRE3000 and decided to upgrade the shackles as well with the MORryde heavy duty shackle kit (since I'd be removing the wheels and rusty bolts anyway). I believe it is called "wet" because it can be lubricated. ( .

THE FLANGE NUTS IN THIS KIT ARE NOT TO BE USED
4/5

UPDATE. This wet bolt kit was used to ATTEMPT to install the CRE3000 suspension. The flange nuts are mediocre at best; I had SIX of them fail to torque to the specified 50 ft pounds of pressure without STRIPPING THE THREADS! So now I'm sitting here, unsure about using my Travel Trailer with these shoddy nuts on board. I'm looking for some grade 8 nuts to take their place. It's difficult to come across them. But I'm going to keep looking. Keep in mind that I'm not a knucklehead who can't tighten a screw. I'm in my sixties, and despite the fact that I'm not a professional mechanic, I've owned and maintained five 18-wheelers over the years, and I've changed entire engines. As a result, I'm confident in my abilities. They aren't even round inside the threads, as you can see in the photos! How can you sell something if the quality control is so poor? It's possible that this is a health and safety concern. We now understand why they are unable to be torqued to the required specifications. I finally found a new set of grade 8 nuts on ebay to replace all of these subpar nuts. Which, by the way, should have been included in the package. RIGHT NOW, I'M AN EXTREMELY UNHAPPY MORRYDE CUSTOMER! And I'm not going to change my rating until MORryde responds to this problem. br>UPDATE 3/2/2021br>I spoke with customer service, who was extremely helpful. They said these nuts are oblong for a reason, so they don't fall off completely if they come loose? Anyway, they refunded me $17 for the grade 8 nuts, which I greatly appreciate. They also promise to fix the current problem with subpar nuts. We'll see. ' As a result, I've reduced my rating to four stars for the time being.

This should be a requirement for all trailers
5/5

Bushings are a type of bushing that is used to support the bushings This should be a requirement for all trailers. In stock trailers, plastic bushings are used. I have a brand new fifth wheel with only 2000 miles on it, and the bushings at the bottom were already worn thin. Installing the system is fairly straightforward; the most difficult part is jacking up the trailer and removing the tires. It took me about 4 hours to complete one side at a time. hints: br>br> To avoid damaging the new bushings, I took an old bolt with the ridges ground off and used it to press them in. br>br>To remove the old bolts and install the bushings, use a large C clamp. br>br>Make a small mark on the bolt head where the hole is so you can keep track of it and make sure it's in the right place. br>br>The downside is the quality of the nuts, which are very soft; I reused the old, higher-quality nuts. When I torqued one of the new ones to 50 pounds, the threads were stripped.

When combined with a new equalizer, this makes a significant difference
5/5

It took me four hours to install myself. It took me longer to remove the old bolts than it did to put the new ones together. And that was on a dual-axle 2015 Coachman. I had to hammer the bolts out or use a breaker bar with a handsledge to loosen them after removing the nuts with an impact wrench. And that was only after a year of service!br>br>With the help of a large C clamp, I was able to install the new bronze bushing. I don't recommend hammering them in because they will deform easily, making it extremely difficult to get the bolt into the bushing. I did this on the first one because it seemed like the "quickest" method. When compared to using a C clamp, it took the most time in the end. br>br>I, too, had issues with grease-resistant bolts. Because I was unable to adjust them during installation due to time constraints, I will have to do so now. I completed the upgrade with the help of a Lippert Equa- The two axle leaf springs are linked by a flex equalizer. This upgrade, along with the bushing kit, is HIGHLY recommended. The next day, I went for a test drive with my 6500lb travel trailer, and the difference is incredible. There will be no squeaking, and the Equa- Flex eliminated all chucking and weight shifting when accelerating or decelerating. If you're going to the trouble of disassembling your leaf springs and bushings, I strongly advise you to use both products at the same time; you won't be disappointed.
