Questions & Answers
Tensile strength is around 2,000 pounds.
Unless you're making a large drawstring bag, this 1/4" is a bit excessive. It's better to use nylon that's 1/8 inch thick.
Yes. It's a high-quality line that I use for my sailboat's main halyard. I snipped the ends and set fire to them.
Yes, you can use a lighter or a hot knife to seal the end, but the best method is to whip the end with thread.

I've been dissatisfied with a few Amazon purchases, but I've simply returned them. It was a pleasant surprise to discover that this rope is of excellent quality, strong, and tightly wound. For my Catalina 22, I plan to use it as a topping lift line and boom vang. It will meet all of my requirements and last for many years.
a lot of frays For a 1/4" rope, it's a very strong rope. When cut, the rope frays quickly, even if there is no tension on the rope at the time of cutting. If you use a pocket knife and pull through the cut, the rope will fray 1/2" to 3/4", making it difficult to burn down while still allowing the rope to pass through eyelets, rope locks, tensioners, and other similar devices. I had to cut it with a razor knife and slowly saw through it to keep the fray to a minimum, and even after burning the ends, I still had a glob of rope. br>br>ON THE OTHER HAND, VERY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EX.
In addition, the material is ideal for the task. br>I strongly suggest that everyone read this line.
This rope is strong and of excellent quality.
I've owned sailboats for over 20 years and find this product to be excellent: In a strong wind, I'd use this rope as a jib sheet!.
It's perfect! It's exactly what I was looking for.
Love it. It's appropriate for my needs. Shipped and received in a timely manner.
Rope of superior quality; a fair cost.
