Is it a dynamic rope that scratches or a static rope that does not?

It's made from a relatively soft material. In my trailer, I don't see any issues with the products being strapped down.

Is this a solid braid all the way through or does it have a center core of straight strands?

Both layers of the braid are braided, with a white center braid and a black outer braid.

How strong is it in tensile?

Sorry, but I don't recall what was written on the wrap when I purchased it. I wish I could be of assistance, but I am incapable of doing so. I'm using it for tiedowns on my trailer to secure materials during transport, and so far there have been no issues with breakage.

If you want to make your own horse tack, it is well worth the time and effort

This rope is one of my favorites. This rope was purchased to create a set of 30 foot ground driving lines for my horse, and it worked perfectly. I was able to save a lot of money by making my own instead of purchasing one from a major training program. My horse was actually a better driver than I was. I was even able to make him a new halter, with enough left over to make a miniature horse halter.
