The auto zone had a high decibel car horn, so I bought it instead.
They also do not incorporate the mounting bracket as on the model L. The existing horn should be removed, and the bracket should be removed as well. Perfectly fit to the grill, this new horn is the perfect way to improve your car's performance. This replacement for my old model L was ideal as it has two new screws and two new nuts, I found it was very fast and easy to install. Although it sounds like a car horn, it gets the job done. If they had indicated that in the description, it would have been easier for me. My hope is that this will help others as well.
It looks and sounds like The original on my boat was damaged and I bought this to replace it. Simply peeling off the chrome plated cover, removing two screws, and disconnecting the horn and two electrical stab connectors was all it took to install the unit. As above, installation goes in the opposite direction. Everything is done outside of the console as well. In addition, I ordered a new chrome cover since the old one had begun to look worn. This product is easy to install, matches the hole size and shape of the OEM horn, and has the same fastener pattern as the OEM version. You need to be careful as there are a great many horns that are similar in size but In order to save money, I was able to use my current grill instead of buying.
This was easy to install and worked on the first try. It took adhesive on each of the three locking clips to keep the cover in place, but so far it seems to be holding.
I kept the opening covered with a waterproof cover for about a month and a half, but it stopped working. I think it would have been perfect if it stood up to use.
