The Garmin 520+ I had had 240 rides stored but this one has twice as much space as It's also important to note that it will also backup your files to the Garmin cloud if the app is synced with your smartphone. Syncing the device stores a perm copy on the device (until you default it), and this copy is stored in the Garmin page every time you sync the device. Also, the program has the capability of automatically uploading to many other systems.

I don't need most of its features, but that doesn't mean I won't find something useful in it. It seems like a bit of a struggle to set up. I was unable to initially pair my Bluetooth device for some reason. The issue was fixed with a simple reboot of both the phone and Garmin. While the touchscreen works perfectly, it takes a bit longer for the touchscreen to respond to touches. Still, it's not too bad. A new piece of equipment will get you about 8 hours of use from its battery, but I would expect a lot less than that from a used Whenever you ride for more than 5 hours, you should charge your phone. In these days, I only ride the road bike. As well as the Strava routes, I use the Strava maps, as well as Among the information that can be found on my display are mph, distance, time, I already know how to upload courses/routes from Garmin Connect. But I don't know how to upload routes from Strava. My map feature has worked flawlessly for me and alerts me when I will need to make turns with plenty of time to spare. It even warns me when I will take sharp turns. A bonus of the system is the notification alerts. I appreciate the feature of seeing texts come in and knowing whether or not I need to pull over for a response. The emergency feature is also a nice addition. As I tried to turn off the unit, I accidentally triggered an emergency response, and my family immediately went to help. It's an error. It was after my third ride with this unit that I broke the upper left corner of the screen due to dropping it. Despite no problems with the unit and its functions, I was worried about water seeping into the unit and causing it to fail. As a customer of Garmin, I emailed customer support to say I would be willing to pay for a new screen. As soon as they received the email, they responded quickly and said that the unit was covered This is amazing! So this is how it is done, my friends. It is impossible to understate the quality of garmin's customer support. It is top It took me less than 10 days for a replacement to arrive at my office. There is a lot of business with them.
In the wake of the Edge 1000 experience, I had high expectations for this device. Unfortunately, it suffers from the same issues as the Edge 1000 The battery life is not at all what it is advertised, I have to spend 15 minutes and try multiple times to connect it to my iPhone, ride data will not upload without at least 10 attempts , causing it to drop. The uploading of Fit Files from RWGPS is not reliable, Strava and RWGPS connectivity is nonexistent, it constantly tells you to remain on course during your route, and many of the data screens are confusing. It is a total waste of money and is poor quality.
It took me a couple other cycling head units / GPS brands before choosing the Edge 830, and it was the one I decided to keep. The 830 includes all the standard features that other branded head units have (which I won't outline There are many articles online with spec details on the 830), but what really stood out to me in a real-world scenario was the ease of use and responsiveness of the touch screen. With no need to remember which button does what, I learned how to use the Edge 830 as easily as I learned how to use Additionally, I didn't have to remove my gloves to use the Edge 830 (although As well as using the GPS feature to find new routes in the mountains, I have discovered side trails that I would not have discovered on my own by using the GPS on familiar trails. I also have access to my on-demand library through the 830 Keeping bike sensors in perfect working order. You may be wondering if the 530 is better or worse than the 535. Having used both the 830 and 810, I think that the 830 is worth the additional cost primarily because the touchscreen is more responsive, faster, and easier to use.
My Edge 800 gave up after 10 years of use, but this is a great replacement This is my twelve year old daughter. You can choose from a large number of data fields. The screen is a little smaller than the 800 but I have not found that to be an issue. There are some new features that are supposed to help you gauge your riding ability but I find them a bit gimmicky. The device gave me all the data I needed on a mountain ride, a trainer ride, and four road rides. This should do a good job and last as long as my 800 did (and possibly longer than that). I don't expect it to have the connecting issues that my 925xt watch did. The Garmin product I ended up with was expensive, but I chose to stick with it because it is familiar. Everything seems to be going well so far. I definitely appreciated the fact that the unit was delivered a day earlier than I had been promised.
In the end, I moved from the 820 to this as soon as it was released since I had become weary of the touchscreen and speed. This is a big step up from the previous version, and the increase in size Furthermore, I enjoy how the USB charging door opens and closes with more confidence than before.
