It says so on Garmin's website. As of yet, I have not tried it in the rain. To protect it in case of a drop, I purchased a cover. Water doesn't seem to affect the function of the screen, according to their claims.

The Garmin Edge computer is the one I have been using After owning the Edge 1000, Edge 1030, and now the Edge 1030 Plus, I decided to get the 1030 Those devices have helped me log hundreds of rides, and I've used them with a variety of speed sensors, cadence sensors, heart rate sensors, lights, cameras, electronic shifters, and mobile Assorted other websites and Garmin Connect as well as Strava, Ride With GPS, etc. have also worked. I will sum up my final opinion by saying (*) mhbr>
br>Though these are the best cycling computers that I have used, they lack the appeal they could have. It feels as if I'm using technology that was designed in 2005 all the time. Comparing the Edge computer to any other smart phone produced since 2007, the Edge feels inferior, for example, in terms of user interface and responsiveness. Since the Edge computers have a longer battery life, I had no problem accepting that for years. However, I realized that edge computers have some challenges that mobile phones don't have. The gloves they wear need to be more durable, and they need to work with gloves. I am afraid that I have run out of patience. In order for Garmin to compete on the trail, the UI and hardware on its devices have to be upgraded significantly. As long as the bike computer feels like it was designed in 2015, I'm willing to use it. In 2005, however, this was not the case. My favorite thing about the Garmin Edge 1030 Plus is It is lightweight, attractive, and very comfortable. Strong and durable
•  The battery life of the phone is excellent
The reader can take in sunlight and read with ease the automatic backlight works excellently Despite being very accurate (but not perfect), GPS can be very problematic. I like that the Edge 1030 Plus has a good mounting system
• Works with several types of sensors and devices
What I don't like is To pair it with my iPhone 11 Pro, I had to try 15 times over the course of 3 hours. It was close to being thrown out of the window for me! I then decided to unpair the system the next day, and try the connection again, until it worked, so I knew that everything was working fine. I was able to pair the Edge 1030 Plus with the iPhone 11 Pro after about 15 attempts. Either it's a defective Edge 1030 Plus or the device is not terribly My decision is to send back to Garmin this unit. What I don't like about the Edge series in general can be found below. Based on feedback from the Edge 1030 and 1000, these opinions tend to be more positive. Those points probably apply to the Edge 1030 Plus as well, based on what I have seen so far I have not experienced any better than this with any smart phone I have ever used. • The screen is not very responsive. In the original iPhone, 10 times more was packed into the device. There are several issues with the user interface. • and nbsp There may be occasions when swipes and taps are not There are times when you aren't even tapping (but your finger is just close to the screen) but your finger is detected as a tap. This is due to the sheer number of options available. Finding the settings is difficult. It is impossible for you to imagine how often I have helped friends uncover hidden settings. It takes a long time to scroll through lists. It is possible that paired devices don't automatically reconnect. It is possible that my heart rate sensor stops working in the middle of a ride. The device reboots sometimes, while a ride is in progress. *• Sometimes the device locks up while riding.
• Sometimes, my lights or radar disconnect and reconnect several times during a ride. It happens to me sometimes that even when I have a clear view of the sky, my GPS track is completely messed up. • Sometimes, when I plug in to charge my phone, the screen stays on instead of going to sleep.
* When my iPhone and the headset are already paired, sometimes the headset will not connect to the iPhone via Bluetooth. It is possible that rides will not automatically be uploaded. In order to upload, I have to manually start the process. * It has an integrated micro USB charging port rather than a USB jack The following applies The process of adding new routes to the device is cumbersome. The most common way I use this is to mount it as a hard drive, dig through the folder structure, and drop a FIT file into the right place. I could use it, but I feel like it seems like an antiquated way to transfer The device does not have an easy way to silence the phone. A mute switch would be useful. While biking on a busy road, for example, I would like to turn off my Varia Radar warnings. If you have several routes that start with the same name, and if those names are long, then you cannot distinguish between the routes on the device, since the names have been It occurs to me about 50% of the time during my rides that something goes wrong with my Edge computer. Whenever I start up the Hammerhead Karoo for a ride, I feel as if, "What will go wrong this time?". I think it's time I looked for a new, more modern device. I just ordered one. I'll let you know how that goes. As I cross my fingers, I'm hoping for the best!.
the Wahoo battle. It would be impossible to compare. There have been a few cycling computers that I've tested so far It is unbelievable how technology has changed in such a short period of time. My first wireless device was the Wahoo Elemnt Roam. My second was the Garmin Edge 1030+. The only way I can explain this is that if Wahoo Elemnt Roam is Apple, then Garmin is HP, with their own custom operating system designed and executed by their I don't care what anybody says, Garmin is so bad that it disturbs me. When all you want to do is ride, trying to figure out how to use it can be a real pain. Adding a myriad of random required apps to this makes a cycling computer that has a Homer Car feel to it.
Anyone who reviews the Garmin and says it feels good without ever getting around to using the Wahoo makes me wonder if they've tried one? The thing is $700? What is going on here? What a terrible experience! Did I remind you of that? It's a bad thing. The big benefit of owning a Wahoo Elemnt Roam (or Bolt) computer is that it can help you keep track of your performance while you're cycling.
Like always, Garmin has put out a nice piece of hardware with a lot of loose ends in its software. It would be too expensive for me to be a beta tester on this one. Upon returning it, I gave it to you. Here is the Garmin Edge 1030 plus forum where you can find out why things are as they are. In the future, if the things that aggravate me are fixed, I will continue to follow and buy again.
Performance is significantly greater than the 1030, battery life is longer, external devices are automatically synchronized, and screen brightness is better and easier to read. This is excellent. Additionally, The Playbetter Store went far above and beyond the call of duty in getting my Garmin 1030+ PLUS delivered expeditiously, accurately, and without any hassle on my part. The whole process was so efficient that they even had to change a FedX shipping label that had been submitted incorrectly (my mistake)! It is an A+ and kudos to work with a company that cares about customers, is professional, and is client friendly. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase!.
It connected to all attachments without any problems and worked well. I don't have a problem with the size of the unit, which There are a lot of interesting training benefits with this tool, and it takes little time to set up. The cons are As for the price, I expected it to have a better operating system, GPS, and a smoother experience than the competitors. *Make sure to consider other brands before buying this product.
My experience using cycling computers has been spread over at least two different types. There are two basic Garmin devices - the Wahoo Elemnt and the more basic Garmin Sensing. On the out front mount, it was difficult to keep track of the button presses required to switch screens, functions, etc. There is a touch screen (sensitivity can be changed) on the 1030 plus, which makes it simple and quick to use.
You can also customize and save different In my case, I have it set up as a 4 field screen that can be accessed by swiping down to screens with more details. I rarely use the navigation system since I know my routes before hand. I don't want navigation to take me down roads I don't want to be on. The routes I have already taken are saved and I can follow the same routes again in order to compare my performance and get time-distance from my starting point to my destination. One apparent disadvantage is that full finger gloves do not allow you to swipe screens. It is difficult to find and press the correct buttons on other units even with full finger gloves on. While I believe this is the best you can get for the money, there is a higher price tag attached to it, but in my opinion, it is a sound This device has a larger screen than most others (although less than a smart phone) but we find it not to be obtrusive whatsoever.
