The GPS unit I bought was a good one, but not perfect
3/5

I was looking for a simple GPS unit that would show some basic information Although I considered buying the Garmin Edge 130 Plus over cheaper options like the XOSS G+ and IGPSPORT IGGS10, I am excited to be able to share the reasons behind my decision *Brief description here The ability to customize the display of the performance information, so that I can see only the parameters that are relevant to me (speed, distance, ride time and day, total ascent and descent)*2. The ability to display notifications from my phone (text, Whatsapp, The ability to load GPX tracks in order to follow them (basic navigation). This is useful if you're trying a new trail that you have seen on Trailforks or Strava, or one that a friend has recommended to In general, I am satisfied with my purchase, it does what I need, but there are a few reasons why I decrease my rating *Brief description here Price It's not as inexpensive as the other GPS units I mentioned, but it's still not as cheap as the other tablets I mentioned This is five times more than usual. With a $200 price tag, the Edge 130 is quite overpriced. 1. *br. There is complexity. A little is better sometimes than a lot. These simply clutter up the device's menus and make it more difficult to navigate The following are particularly relevant There is an app for that. It would at least be nice to be able to hide those functions entirely. These features are important to some people, but I think that on a small device such as this, they are overkill. 1. 2. 3. The interface / buttons of the application. Somehow, they are not intuitive. It may also result from the fact that there are many options, however the foundational functions (start, pause, stop, and save) should be all accessed via a single button press. As an example The clock starts after you turn the unit on, press the start button once, confirm or select the type of ride (road, commuter, mountain, etc), then press again to start the counter. Here are some other examples When you want to save a ride, press the start/stop button, then scroll down to Save Ride, then tap it The last example is If you want to turn it off, you have to press the power button, then confirm that you wish to do so again. Long pressing would be a convenient shortcut, wouldn't it? Pressing the start button long enough will initiate a ride with the previously set parameters. A long press of stop means to save the ride. A long press of power means to turn off the ride. It isn't so complicated after all, 4
It appears that no user has logged in Battery that can be replaced. [UPDATE 04/26/2021] I have been using the Edge 130 for a while now, and have decided to add back one star to the rating. I really like the way it works, and the buttons make sense now. In spite of the small screen, navigation is excellent As soon as I create my courses in the external GPX editor, I import them into Garmin Connect and then transfer them to the Edge (I do all this with a Windows PC that is connected to the Edge If you're following a course, you can zoom in or out and the device will maintain that zoom level for the whole ride. This is very useful when mountain biking, since the default zoom level doesn't offer enough detail on the trails. The rating was lowered to 3 stars with the [UPDATE 06/24/21] upgrade. There is a strange problem on the Edge 130 Courses page where course names are cut off after 16-character identifiers. Instead of using the full width of the (already tiny) screen, we chose 17 characters. There are several courses that you may have, so if you shorten their names, it is difficult to distinguish them. Count the characters when you name your courses and use abbreviations when needed (e. g. I came across these hdgs on Black Mountain Put "Black Mountain to Lake Hodges, S" in place of "Black Mountain to Lake Hodges, S" The short version". Are we at the end of the earth? Not at all. Is that annoying? To a certain extent, filed a support ticket with Garmin and was informed that I'll keep it short and sweet In my attempt to get them to change their "it works as intended" response, they overlooked the fact that the way it was intended did not work at all During initial discussions, I suggested using the full width of the screen (duh) and possibly adding right-side navigation When a course is highlighted, it will scroll left to allow longer names to be displayed in full and in context. I did not understand anything, it was as though I were talking.

The package I need has everything I need in it at a reasonable cost
5/5

It's not the most powerful computer I own, but it does what I need and some things I don't really need. I ride my mountain bike four to five days per week and I like to see my heart rate and some other data while I ride. I ran a search through the app and found some things I had not expected. This includes jump speed, air time and distance based on my VO2 max. I am not sure it is very accurate on the My experience states it is using an excerorometer to calculate when your tires leave the ground and when they land. The speed seems to be accurate. My travel time seems correct, but the distance is always farther than I have The reason is probably because I weigh a lot more than the average rider and my bike is an e mountain bike, so it weighs much more than other Overall, I like it a lot. The crash I had a couple of weeks ago was pretty bad. I had to take out the screen to fix it, but the computer still.

This is an awesome device! I'm loving It's the best computer I've ever had
5/5

I have low reception in my area, but even so the GPS picked up immediately. With sensors, it tracks my speed, distance, cadence, and heart rate very accurately. We are very pleased with your service! The application also integrates with Strava flawlessly, so it's a real Only "downside" I can come up with is if you're gonna use LiveTrack, then you need your phone and the Garmin connect app. While I want to not have to use my phone on rides, I walk with my phone on those rides anyway so it isn't That's great! I love.

The battery life is terrible, and we don't like how the features are designed
3/5

Using the recorder, the battery will only last you around six hours at most when recording, barely enough for normal riding if you forget to charge it, and no chance of recording an entire day if you forget to charge it. Battery life is also limited even when the unit is turned off, so it is recommended to keep it plugged in all the time. Upon researching this issue, I found that it was a huge problem with the original 130 and Garmin did absolutely nothing to fix it for the 130+. This product is deserving of 1 star since Garmin is still lying about it getting 12 hours which is totally There's another thing I hate if you have auto-renew, you have to pay for it at the end of every month Once you turn on power off during a recording, the bike will power off after it has sat for a few minutes and will not be powered on again until you start cycling again. As a result, you'll be able to automate It's even harder to deal with the battery life, because it turns off completely useless. The only reason I bought it was for the live segments, but even those are rather useless as the usability is not well thought out. on the last segment was, but the results screen appears for so briefly 3) they are unsafe/impossible to see while riding, and there is no data screen in the background with a history of your riding. People might actually take advantage of this feature if they added just a simple history page.

There is a problem with this product

This is a defective product. A bar code number is missing and it doesn't appear to be coming on at all. It looks like it might have been used before.

The device is a great basic device
5/5

Overall, it's pretty good. Having used Lezyne in the past, I have to say this one is improved in terms of usability and syncing. There are a few small adjustments I might like to make, such as setting up the screens from my phone, and having auto lap based on a fixed location. But the price of this version might prevent me from doing those things. I have found it to have most of the important features I need without becoming too complicated. As a mountain biker and a road bike owner, I appreciate that the bike mounts come with two sets, since I have both.

I will buy another for when I need it.
