Is the rack able to withstand slipping?
Everyone who has worn a belt or used nylon straps knows that they stretch and need to be adjusted before they are truly form fitting. Larger and heavier items will result in more stretching/sitting, water sun stress on the unit as a result of load/speed, etc. My surfboards are secure and safe in my new car, which I was very concerned about. If you're concerned, opt for a hard roof top. To sum it up, mine are fantastic and I would highly recommend them. I'm pleased with mine.

Yes, it will fit in a Ford pickup truck. It measures 50" by 39" and can be positioned along the roof or turned around.

Make sure your weatherstripping is in good shape

This appears to be an excellent product, as did my kayaking buddies. Unfortunately, I'll have to return it because the weatherstripping on my Toyota Venza is so tight that the straps and clips can't be installed. Aside from that, it was well-designed and constructed.
