The new version is more than adequate
5/5

EndNote is a fantastic tool for organizing a large number of references. For researchers, this is ideal. Manually enter references into the database by "filtering" saved searches from databases or a friend's EndNote or Procite reference list, or connect directly to databases that support the Z39: Select the bibliography style you require (hundreds available, or create your own) and paste it directly into your article or thesis - It inserts a citation into the body of the text and creates a neat bibliography at the end. It's simple to change the citation style (for example, if you need to submit your article to multiple journals). br>New users should expect to spend a significant amount of time learning the ins and outs of this massive package, but it will be well worth the effort if they need to organize a large number of references. It includes a comprehensive manual in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format that you can download and install on your computer. br>With the new version of EndNote, you can now add "figures" to your work - It inserts a marker into the text, e. g. (Figure 1) and places the actual image in a list of figures at the end of the text. This is currently a bit of a pain to set up; hopefully, the next version will make it easier, but it's a great tool. br>The menus have been redesigned (the same content is still there, and it's probably more intuitive to a new user, but it will take some getting used to), and EndNote now comes with Word document templates for the submission style preferred by many major journals.

Version 6 has a lot of kinks in it
3/5

For the time being, stick to 5! I work with Word 2011 on a MacBook Pro. EndNote is an excellent referencing tool, in my opinion, for anyone writing professional papers. The ability to cite papers and change formatting styles (e. g. , Arial, Times New Roman, etc. ) While I agree with previous reviews about EndNote's utility, I strongly disagree with EndNote 6's power. Version 5 is the one I've used. After using version 0 for a while, I decided to upgrade to version 6. A few months ago, it was 0; now it's 1. In comparison to version 5, I am a PhD student who uses this program on a daily basis. Version 0 of 0 Version 0 has a few nice features that version 5 does not. The pdf viewer, for example, was missing in version 0. In comparison to Apple Preview, however, there is no comparison. Preview is far superior to EndNote for reviewing papers, and I prefer to use it instead of EndNote when reviewing papers. Aside from that, the fundamental requirements have remained relatively unchanged (automated search from online databases, categorizing functions, and so on). EndNote 6 has one major flaw: it is EXTREMELY clumsy (at least from the perspective of a Mac user). I've had to restart the computer several times because it locks up. On a regular basis, it is unable to open libraries. It frequently fails to sync with Word and constantly displays the dreaded Apple spinwheel. My best advice is to: If you're using version 5, you'll need to update your software. Keep it at 0 for a while and then move on to 6. The number 0 is increasing. Get 5 if you're thinking about using EndNote for the first time. If possible, start with 0 and then upgrade later. This is version 5. 0 is a lot more reliable!.

For researchers, this is an excellent tool
5/5

If you're a researcher, you'll need a copy of Endnote to keep track of your references, or you'll waste a lot of time. The following are the specifics of my encounter. As a medical researcher, I attempted several times to manually prepare the references section of my most recent manuscript. It took me at least a week because each journal has its own set of requirements that we must follow if we want to publish with them. br>I prepared all of my references in Endnote in 20 minutes and did not miss any related references. In addition, because it has a link to Word, I did it while I was writing. br>Endnote allows you to choose your reference format from a list of journals. To put it another way, you could format your references according to the journal you're publishing in and switch between them in a matter of seconds. It's a miracle! br>We could save up to 50 percent by using endnote. 70 of the time was spent on formatting and organization. It also has access to the internet as well as all of the major research engines, such as medline and pubmed. It's a fantastic way to collect and organize data, and I recommend it to all researchers. Regards.

For academics, this is an invaluable tool
5/5

Endnote is an essential tool for any researcher, academic, or graduate student, particularly those working on a doctoral dissertation. The ability to search online library catalogs and add found materials to one's bibliography and footnotes in the style of one's choice is well worth the admission fee. Endnote can help you save hours, if not days, of drudgery.

Put an end to the stress of figuring out how to make a bibliography
5/5

When it comes to keeping track of references and creating a bibliography, I've found EndNote to be extremely useful. All you have to do is type in the information, and it will format it in the style you choose, including the most up-to-date reference styles such as APA 5th Edition. Other useful features include the ability to search bibliographic databases on the Internet, organize references and images in a database, build your paper using built-in manuscript templates, and link your EndNote records to PDF files on the Web or on your hard drive. You can see the bibliography and figure list appear as you type, and you can also add footnotes while writing your paper. It's fantastic for anyone interested in publishing professional papers.
