Redmond, Washington has produced some of the best musicians in the world
5/5

Although I am running XP, my version is 2003, but I am enrolled in an online course where the instructor is using the most recent version. We're using this tool to create video productions (camera and screen casting) of our lab reports, and I'm not sure how I managed without it before. You might conjure up images of PowerPoint and Word mingled with free-form text. daily planner, hand-drawing and scribbling That isn't even close to covering all of the features. I just wanted to let you know that this tool can do a lot more than keep track of your notes. OneNote is in a league of its own. I experimented with a few different open-source solutions. Freebies can be found online, but they don't stack up.

I find it to be effective
5/5

I purchased this program in order to record some of my childhood bedtime stories for future generations. All I want is for my great-grandmother to be able to see me. If Grandma had had such a tool, she would have beaten Tove Jansson to the punch:.

SUPERB software for projects, writing, taking notes, keeping track of things, and more! I received this as a 'bonus' from Microsoft shortly after it was released, and I installed it and played with it extensively due to a degree I was working on at the time
5/5

br>br>IT does a lot of good things, a lot of weird things, and it's great for a few oddball niche projects that nothing else seems to work for. br>br>While it has basic printing capabilities, it isn't something you'd typically print from. This software works best on a tablet or laptop with plenty of RAM and a fast processor. It also takes up a lot of space because of how it handles files. This is most likely a powerful software package for you if you're a writer, publisher, scientist, or frequent note taker. It provides you with a plethora of options for entering data into the program. 'Drag-and-drop' is an option. You can use drag-and-drop, direct import, or simply type it in. You have the option of scanning, copying, or inputting live video. It accepts a wide range of file types and formats with ease. This stuff is fantastic as a video diary or daily process log (as you might find in some laboratory settings). br>br>What are the drawbacks? It's nothing like the rest of Microsoft's office suite. Learning how to format, add new tabs, and create sub-tabs has a steep learning curve. - tabs, buttons, and so on. TAKE YOUR TIME AND LEARN THE SOFTWARE BEFORE APPLYING IT TO A PROJECT! Also, keep in mind where you format it to set it up, because it has resident folder locations beneath ONE-. NOTE that many of your files in MY DOCUMENTS are exact copies of your originals, and if you move or delete the ONE NOTE path, you will lose your composite work! This is yet another disadvantage - You can have up to 100 files in MY DOCUMENTS and/or MY VIDEOS, and you can drag and drop them around. When you drag and drop them into OneNote as a composite project, it doesn't just link them; it DUPLICATES them into the ONE NOTE path, effectively doubling your harddrive allocations (bad news for small harddrive owners). PRODIGIOUS users should have at LEAST a 1-star rating, according to me. This software can grow because you have a Tb drive set aside for your documents and work files. EVEN MORE SO IF YOU'RE USING IT FOR DAILY LOGS, VIDEO DIARIES, AND THE LIKE. (Want to be like the movie Avatar and keep a video diary? Ok, but get ready for a 2-hour ride. Before you begin, make sure you have a 3 TB hard drive!). br>br>Overall, this is fantastic (and one-of-a-kind) software. It's inexpensive to buy and use, but BE SURE TO LEARN EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU DO. Software gurus can master the curve in as little as six hours. (With the built-in training videos) an 8-hour 'learning crunch' Are you technologically challenged? Prepare a pot of coffee and a notepad to take notes for two full days (or a solid weekend). If you learn how to use the software, you'll be amazed at what it can accomplish. Start with a 10-point bet. You should have some experience with it before you start, or else be prepared to lose a lot of data and be stressed out when you want it to do something you think it can do but can't figure out how to do. Solid 5 br>br> software with a star - I was taken aback 10- Microsoft didn't sell it as a 'new feature' any harder than it was when it was released years ago.

Microsoft has created something useful and unique! To begin with, I am not a big fan of the majority of Microsoft software
5/5

Although I enjoy their operating systems, I believe that almost every other Microsoft program is outperformed by a superior and less expensive competitor. One Note, on the other hand, has been a huge success. br>br>One Note is a program that allows you to take notes. I believe Microsoft was targeting students because I received a free copy as a student. As a result, I decided to give it a shot. I had no idea that taking notes on a computer could be so simple and useful. I don't use it for classes because I prefer a notebook, but I do use it frequently for other computer-related tasks. If you want, you can use One Note's infrastructure to create a complex system of organized notes. Alternatively, if you just want to scribble a bunch of notes on your computer without having to worry about margins, printing, or formatting, it can do that as well. br>br>I use it to shop and research on the internet. One Note makes it simple to copy text and screen clippings as you browse the web. If you're planning a trip and need to book flights, hotels, car rentals, meeting agendas, maps, or directions, this is the place to go. One note is a great way to gather all of that information in one place and organize it however you want. br>br>One of my favorite features of One Note is that you can format the information however you want without the program trying to format it for you (this is a common problem with other Microsoft programs). You can add information to any location on the workspace by clicking on it. br>br>To sum it up: This is a program that allows you to keep track of your personal notes. It's terrible at formatting, printing, and publishing. It is, however, excellent at allowing you to organize in your own distinctive and personal manner. If that's what you're looking for, this program is a good fit.
