You can download the following desktop apps An app for PDAs that is poorly designed Fair enough
3/5

Overall, I agree with what has been said. In the PC app, loading bulk map data to the PDA's normal memory, much less additional memory, is quite tedious due to the lack of standard UI, and the difficult manner in which it can be made to use. If I were you, I would make a fresh start from scratch and throw out the app. As far as I could tell, there are no overview maps on the PDA. The only way to access maps was by name, which is not WYSIWYG. The maps look great, however, and the scrolling is fast. What is surprising to me is the complete lack of basic Having a look at Garmin's Mapsource applications and their excellent cartographic GPS units may give Delorme a great deal to think about. As long as they don't address the ability to stitch together sections of a map, provide bulk downloading, and many other features, this one will have to wait.

It's not the data, but the software that makes the map
3/5

There is a lot of detail in the maps. The theme is very detailed and there are a lot of places of interest My eyes have an easier time reading them than with other programs I've used. There is much work to be done on the software that runs them. Then you pick what section of the map you want to put onto your PDA via your PC. In order to save a routeable, detailed map on your computer, you need to choose an area of 6 x 6 The area I wanted maps of was several hundred square miles. In my truck I drive across Central Indiana on a daily basis, so I had to block in the entire section square by square. On my PDA I have somewhere around 50 map blocks. In order to put them on my flash card, I had to move them one block at a time, since moving the files would cause my Palm M125 to lock up about one out of every 10 times. Make sure you have a paperclip at the My entire day's work can be completed on a single flash drive with all the maps I need. As a result, the program is running slowly now. The word I am using is If you do a street name search, it runs it through the entire database and finds the States it includes. Cities are listed next, followed by zip codes. By the time my paper map provided the necessary information, I would have been halfway there and my search could have been narrowed down. If you have already typed in the name, you may hit search as soon as you have it. If it finds that street, it will search the entire database. It will take twice as long to do that. Even if you go to all that trouble, there will be times when no match will be found. My attention was drawn to the map, and I saw a street on it that I thought might be it. That's what I saw. My screen showed me Molly Lane right away. When I searched again, I was not able to find anything. Despite the lack of matches, it still didn't work. One of the things I dislike is that you cannot search by address. There is only a street name (Main) on (501 Main). On Main 501, you must find out for yourself where it is located. When looking at the map, you should be able to find Main. It does not always appear with the Name. In the map, the street labels appear attached to a point, so if you scroll past that point you don't know which street you are on. It will tell you the name of the street if you tap it. Even so, it is only a slight help when you look at a grid of streets, most of them without names. Rather than trying to follow an unknown street from a well-known point, I found it easier to follow routes from well-known places. You're not finished yet! The flash card goes 'FATAL ALERT' whenever I do a route with the flash card and there is a map on it. If it locked up, it would crash. I found that once the map was loaded into main memory and the card removed, the software worked just fine. *
If you keep your mapping area small and off the memory card, the software does a pretty good job. You might consider looking elsewhere for power maps if you're a user.

Don't let your money go to waste! My experience with this mapping software is the worst of all I have used (and I have tested most of them)
3/5

A position error of 200-300 is present There are 500 feet everywhere, except for major thoroughfares and the I can only assume that it's a problem with the map translations (?) There does not seem to be a It seems the laptop version of their program has the same position errors. Google Street View and Microsoft Streets & Trips I don't believe in trips any more- Positioned everywhere with all lights on. Del Lorme should be totally ashamed, considering their entire line of products focuses on this area! Their prices are also significantly higher than those of Microsoft. It's so sad!.

This is not a user friendly website
3/5

Over the years I have used regular PC versions of Street Atlas and I absolutely It is necessary for Delorm to remove this software for a PDA from the market before it tarnishes all of their software. Rather than providing the information that is truly necessary, they attempt to load too much secondary travel info into the PDA. It allows for easy navigation of maps or areas that can be loaded quickly and easily. Their Street Atlas for PC has a version similar to their Street Atlas for PC. It's not necessary to have the names of hotels, attractions, and restaurants on a handheld device. Finding out where you are and where you're going is all you want to do.

This game will be a hit if you're computer literate in any way
5/5

You have to try this program! Installing this software on your PC and choosing how much you wish to sync with your PDA is quite simple. The maps can be synchronized to show detailed roads or by just showing In addition to working at a flower shop, my wife also delivers flowers. You can type in the address and it will take you there. I didn't need to read the instructions to sync the maps the first time. The first time I synced the maps, it was a little difficult. The product is definitely worth checking out.
