Microsoft Street & Trips 2008 GPS with Connected Services [Old Version]

As an airport shuttle driver in San Diego, I am available to pick up and drop off passengers. The earlier editions I have used for three years, I have purchased the new programs as they are released as new features are added, and I have been pleased Adding real-time functionality to the site was (past tense) something I was looking forward to Data input for time traffic. I was unable to use the "Connected Services" aspect of the software. I followed the instructions in the installation guide but There are at least three different sites that require you to "activate" the receiver, none of which appear to activate the receiver, none of which appear to show you that you are actually activated. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to locate ANY technical support. Based on the fact that the basic program is still a delight to use and is very useful for my application, I gave it four stars.

A GPS unit that didn't work from the start had been replaced with another unit that worked. I only paid 16 for it, so I don't have to worry about returning it.

I was not able to use Connected Services at all on a trip of two thousand miles. I would say that it is worthless in the end.

It's been some time since I owned an earlier version of S&E They have been used extensively on road trips throughout the Western United States since 2007 and were included with the entire T lineup. As far as my previous reviews with S&W have been concerned Even though I haven't seen the movie yet, I'm still a fan of S&N There is a common misconception that technology development teams own cars and can test their product before launching it.

Then comes 2008 and connectes services. The San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles are two places where I tested it out. It is impossible to trust the information provided by traffic. During rush hour in S&C, I was stuck in stop-and-go traffic in green zones There is a zone on each side of a freeway on the map, which is the direction of traffic. It is rare to find red or yellow zones. In order to explain a gap in a green zone, you must assume what is going on. What should it say? Is it supposed to say red, yellow, or no information? The key is to keep an eye out the window while driving and figure it out as you go. If that sounds the same as what you do now without S&P, then it may not be. Please remember to give TCS. In case of an incident, the markers are consistently out of date. There is little evidence that there has ever been an accident at this site. Not only am I a gadget addict, I also like GPS units. First there was the Magellan RoadMate, then there was a Magellan Maestro 4040, then I got a Verizon Navigator running on my LG VX9900 and finally I got a Microsoft Street & Travel app. Using GPS for trips in 2007 and going to S&P I first had a T 2008 with Connected Services, then I changed to a Tom Tom, and then finally to a DeLorme Earthmate GPS BT-100 The price for my Gateway laptop with a 17" screen is $20. Navigator is a good choice if you need to travel quickly and easily across town. Nevertheless, I usually have my phone with me while on short trips, so it's easy to use it. The DeLorme is your best bet when you're on a long trip The maps are incredibly accurate. For one thing, they are my favorites. Unlike the Microsoft product, you can zoom in very closely to the weeds in it and have the streets vanish. Home of my mother and sister in Connecticut, my Maryland house as well as home of my sister in Maryland Microsoft maps do not show all the law firms in Georgia. • Sn in A few blocks away, I hear this familiar voice saying, "You're here!" The Magellan Maestro is my preferred vehicle for long-term travel when I am alone, but I also love it when I am traveling with friends My preferred way to "pilot" is with the Earthmate product from DeLorme that combines a mapping program with a robust GPS device, a (comparatively) large laptop screen, and a lot of memory.
