This product is not one that can be purchased yet, as both prior reviewers have pointed out. Having spent the past hour waiting in queue with Microsoft's online chat, I have found out that the technical team has encountered difficulties and I will not be able to verify my product key. used MS Office since Windows 95, I was a bit shocked and disappointed by this change. Reps told me I'd be able to get it fixed in three days The first review was due two days earlier (10/4/18), so it took an additional five hours. During that time I read the review, but figured, "hey, it is two days later. ". There is no way that MS hasn't resolved this issue That's not going to happen. Even after purchasing a great deal of anything on Amazon for many years, I think this is my first product review. It would have been great if it was more positive! A UPDATE As a result of the download, I was able to operate the software the next morning (10/7). OneNote is listed on Amazon as part of the package. There is no mention of OneNote in my install, so I do not know what that is. My Office 2010 professional pack is pretty much what I wish I had continued using.

The attempt at downloading this was unsuccessful and I wasted a lot of time on that. Amazon is taking advantage of this by offering this product. Amazon does not simply let you download from Amazon (like most people do), but Microsoft sends you there instead. Upon signing into your Microsoft account, Microsoft verifies the product code, and then attempts to install Office. The most common message is "Try That Again" - Try again later. I'll have no choice but to die if I wait too long. Amazon deserves a lot of blame for continuing to offer this product.

This item should not be sold by Amazon if the Mac version cannot be downloaded.

Considering the number of 1 star reviews, it is reasonable for you to be apprehensive before buying this product. However, in my experience, I do not believe those issues exist any more. Delete prior versions of MS Office was a good idea as many reviews stated that Office for Mac 2011 did not play well with Mojave.

I gleaned from many reviews that it would be wise to delete prior versions of MS Office. By clicking on the Amazon link, I was able to download the product. Since this is a 3 GB file, depending on your download speed, it can take a while to download. Mine took a little more than 10 minutes to download. Then, by clicking the install button, the process was started, and it was completed after another 10 minutes. As soon as you launch the product for the first time, MS forces you to login to your Microsoft Account to verify your product key, after which they don't bother you any more. Despite my attempts to perform updates, MS provided the latest updates when the product was being downloaded, as there were no updates available at the time. While there are certainly new features to figure out, you should not find it difficult to get a letter out as you did with your previous MS Office version.

Unless you are sure you want the software, don't buy it. You will not be able to download it, regardless of whether you purchase it through Amazon or Microsoft. My two customer service representatives indicated to me that the company is experiencing a global outage right now, since we first spoke There is no way this can be true.

Uploaded file could not be downloaded. I find it frustrating that I have to spend hours trying to retrieve the software.

It's been awhile, but I finally had to upgrade from my trusty old Office 2008, as it doesn't seem to play well with MacOS Mojave. I read some reviews of download and installation issues, so I thought long and hard before taking the leap. My installation of Office 2019 went without a hitch, even after I deleted the 2008 version and restarted my computer. It's a great improvement over the old one. There are some differences in the way the program is laid out, but I've already noticed that there is much more functionality than I've experienced in the past.

These presentations are in PPTX format. After reading all the comments about removing old versions of Office before trying to install this new one, I chose to do it. It was a previous version of Office for Mac 2008 that I had been using. Office 2013 installed without a hitch, and neither Word nor Excel detected any problems with the existing files I had created in Office 2016. Unfortunately, when I attempted to open, it did not work. While working on some PPTX files, I received an error message from the new Powerpoint. A. What is it. I was able to open my Powerpoint files, but a large number of my slides disappeared and none of the images appeared on them. Although I reported the problems to Microsoft, I did not receive a response.
