I was able to obtain a copy of the will creator. When I went to buy it, they had a variety of options. I didn't think this was a good product, and I ended up writing my own will using Will examples I found on the internet and in my Microscoft Office Word templates.
Make sure you'll be able to return it if it doesn't work on your device. I purchased the 2019 version, which did not work on my HP, but Amazon refused to refund or credit me. So be cautious to determine whether or not something will work and whether or not it can be returned.

I bought the PC Download version of this software and had a great time with it. I went to my Amazon Digital Purchases, clicked Download, and within minutes, I was working on my estate. br>br>I was surprised to find that this software offered more than I had anticipated. Individual but identical wills for a married couple, a joint living revocable trust for a married couple, individual living wills, survivor/beneficiary instructions, executor instructions, pet instructions, and more are all part of my project. Our family consists of children and grandchildren. This takes care of everything while also providing alternatives and contingencies. br>br>It's similar to using Turbo Tax with this package. You should be able to use this if you were able to use that. You follow along with tutorials and respond to questions. Beneficiaries, dates, addresses, and other information are all saved and can be used in any of your documents. You have the option to save and resume the game at any time. I anticipate that it will take several days/weeks to complete everything. After that, each document can be saved as a PDF and printed, ready to be signed, witnessed, and notarized. br>br>I'm quite pleased with it. When I'm finished, I'll post an update.
I spent more than four hours filling out the Living Trust application with specific details. When the program closed on its own, everything vanished. There doesn't seem to be a way out. Poorly designed - If the program does not save automatically after each screen, you should be prompted to do so. br>br>After I finish my Will, I'll give you an update. I gave it two stars because I was able to complete my Will in the end and found the supplemental materials useful. However: br>br> The program has a lot of bugs. The "print" function appears to have sent hundreds of requests to my printer, in addition to the initial (and massive) loss of entered data. Dealing with that took up another hour (and a lot of paper and ink). br>br>If you're printing documents, make sure to: Then print from your PDF reader after exporting to PDF. WillMaker's "print" function should not be used. If you get stuck (as I did), uninstall and reinstall your printer driver. Reboots, power cycles, and the like did not work, but this did. Best wishes to you.
I'm new to these kinds of legal matters, so I went through each document in the order that the software suggested for my situation. However, I now realize that I should have completed the trust first, followed by the will, because the property in the trust is a subset of the total instructions in the will. I now have to go back and redo the will to make sure there are no inconsistencies or legal conflicts; I would say it's fine to go out of order, and the software should have a decision tree for this at the start to avoid the back and forth. That said, I'm pleased with all of the features offered by this software, and it ran smoothly on my Windows 10 PC, which is why I gave it four stars.
The download cannot be opened even after it has been downloaded. Even after you've downloaded their app, you keep getting a screen telling you to do so. It is recommended that this product be removed from Amazon.
I bought the Windows Download and it worked fine until I tried to print one of the documents after entering all of the necessary information. It kept giving me an error message and telling me to call customer service, but it still wouldn't work after I spoke with them and implemented a fix. They were at a loss for what to do. A REFUND IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOADS. What a heinous swindle!.
" I'd like to add that the Revocable Trust and Will documents generated by this software are incredibly simple. These documents needed to be exported to a. In order to make them fully comprehensive and applicable to my needs, I used an rtf file to supplement them with wording from my previously professionally prepared estate documents. On the plus side, NOLO provides a wealth of legal information that is extremely useful during the process. You can get the same software from the NOLO website; I'm not sure why Quicken put their name on it; compared to their excellent software Turbo Tax, they did themselves no favors by doing so.
It was simple to download and install, and I'm currently working on building my trust. In 2009, I purchased the book and CD version of the year's edition and successfully built a trust. I couldn't use the 2009 version on my Windows 10 because we had moved to another state and needed to redo and update our trust.
It was a squander of funds for us. It's rigid, the program logic is rudimentary, and you can't add common estate planning options. br>br>In the end, we went to an estate attorney and paid a few hundred dollars for a package that didn't include a trust (which we didn't need. ).
