I bought the CD for this, but it wouldn't load no matter how many times I tried. I tried downloading the software directly to my computer because I had a code. After a few tries, that too failed. I made sure my "firewalls" were turned off, but that was part of the reason I bought the CD in the first place, so I didn't have to worry about it. I sent them an e-mail from the NOLO website. e-mail in which I express my dissatisfaction with the situation After waiting nearly a week for them to respond (which they haven't), I can now confidently state that their product may be excellent, though I can't say for sure, and that their customer service is atrocious. Before I buy another of their products, they'll have to jump through a lot of hoops. This product is not something I would recommend to others. br>br>I finally spoke with someone from NOLO's customer service department. It appeared to me, I told the young lady, that Microsoft was involved. NET Framework 4 is the latest version of the NET Framework. The number 7 refused to load. She stated that they were unable to assist me and that I should contact Microsoft. I did, and after spending over an hour on the phone with a Microsoft customer service representative in India and being forced to give her control of my computer, she determined that Microsoft was to blame. NET Framework 4 is the latest version of the NET Framework. The version of 7 that NOLO had on my CD was corrupted in some way. We were finally able to install WillMaker Plus 2019 after she downloaded a version directly from Microsoft. I haven't used it yet, so I can't comment on its quality, but installing it was clearly a pain.
It's a straightforward questionnaire app that generates a number of documents. There is no ability to make changes to the documents at any time. The documents that are generated are in PDF format.
So Good. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly sellers request feedback after a sale. The true test of any product is time, but I've found WillMaker to be a useful and informative tool thus far. Ours is, admittedly, a simple estate. I'm happy with the outcomes and documents that were produced. Understanding the process and purpose of each document has been made easier thanks to the included tutorials and informative articles. If you use tax preparation software, you will most likely find it to be simple to use. It also employs a question-and-answer format. I've known for years that I needed to begin the process of writing a will, and this product has aided me in doing so.
I put off processing my estate documents until I could find a new version of Willmaker to replace the one I had in 2015. The 2019 version behaves nearly identically to the 2015 version, with the addition of the ability to create a Living Trust. The 2019 version successfully imported most of my information that I had previously entered in the 2015 version with no issues; the difficult part is not generating the documents - that's the easy part. Gathering all of the necessary signatures, witnesses, and notary is the most difficult part.
I was unable to progress beyond the preliminary stages of the interview. The lack of flexibility in the interview process was also a turn-off for me. It might be fine for wills, but I couldn't get far enough into it to see if it had a pour over function or residual clauses that could be used with a trust. br>This has good reviews, but it was useless to me for the purpose I had in mind. br>To their credit, my return was processed promptly, and my account was credited, so I have no further concerns.
I got a blank disc in the mail. I contacted NOLO but have yet to receive a response.
This program should be avoided at all costs. In the asset distribution section, I needed to add a sentence, which blew up the impagination. I didn't think it was worth anything, and there was almost no chance of getting a refund.
