The last 15+ years, I have invested in a lot of thermometers and hygrometers. It was not long before many of these devices started malfunctioning. I usually just throw them away some manufacturers seem to know that we will give them only 10 or 15 dollars if we don't pay paying attention. There are other models, however, which are plain unsightly. There are so many functional features with this very sleek design. It attaches right where I need it, is adjustable for my height, and is water resistant. Reptizoo has listened to feedback and improved its resistance to humidity and water drops. Then I will buy another one for my other paludarium after it has been functioning for a couple months. In its current state, it has a typical non-profit nature Its temperature and humidity are read, but not its temperature and it is replaced by a more modern thermometer that compensates for the omission of the temperature. To check the humidity and temperature in my snake's enclosure, I bought these. Then, suddenly, they stopped reading in the enclosure, but when I removed them from the enclosure and put them in the regular room air, they began reading There seems to be a delay in their work when the humidity is high. The suction cups are also a total waste of time. Moisture will not cause it to stick to anything. If I cannot use them where they were built to be used, they are pretty much useless.

We have a corded hydrometer and thermometer situated on top of Totem's and Drizzt's tanks to control the amount of heating and watering in their tanks. As a test, I put them all in a row in the center of Totem's tank with corded hydrometers and corded thermometers. A total of about 0 was found for all readings. It was possible for the corded units and the digital units to differ by 5 points. There was a positive reading among all of the digital units, so they are all functioning as expected. I highly recommend them! They are so easy to place around the aquariums and let me see the temperature gradients that all my NEEDY pets need to maintain. I HIGHLY recommend them!.

The set is made up of two pieces. An issue with one of them was that its batteries weren't working. It works again after I replaced the batteries myself (at my own expense). used silicone suction cups to suction each of them to the sides of my two terrariums to keep pace with their humidity and temperature. A terrarium plant I bought more than a year ago fell off within a day and hit one of my more expensive Taking a lesson from the experience. As a precaution, I placed both of them above little else that might be important, so if they fell, they would not damage anything. The one with dead batteries died about four or five days after it was purchased, and the other one also succumbed to death about a week later. Currently I think it's not worth my time or effort to return them, so it's just a waste of money.

As long as you don't put it in a humid tank, it works fine. It is used for an orchid terrarium, but I have to take it out each day to clean it. This is not good for me since it shuts down when it reaches 90% or more.

I bought 5 of these for the price and I use them with my father. It took Amazon only a few days to replace the item and it works great now. We like the fact that there is a display inside the tank, but it is not too gaudy or oversized.

Three of these are currently in my tanks, and there will soon be four on five of them. There is only one temperature set in each tank and since each tank's humidity is different, the temperature is subject to slight variation. With this unit, I can turn it in any direction so I'm easily able to see it and I don't have to worry about a cord getting However, I did notice one had come loose. I opened it and pushed the battery down, and it's been working fine since then. The only way I know of to change to Celsius is to switch to Fahrenheit I haven't looked it up deeply since the current settings point towards I think the price is right for these meters.
