This isn't a stopwatch or an alarm clock. It is in charge of keeping the aquarium at a certain temperature. It's a digital device that's simple to operate. If you need a precise temperature that stays stable, I strongly suggest this product.
Yes, at the same temperature that you've set. And the two mats use less than 1000 watts.
Yes. The sound is very low.
You'll have to set the temperature in the evening, unfortunately. Alternatively, purchase two heaters and set them to the desired temperatures before switching the heaters' plugs.

This was purchased as a temporary solution while I awaited the arrival of my new dimming thermostat, which was delayed. If you don't have the funds to purchase a pulse proportional and/or dimming thermostat right now, I would recommend this. If you're a reptile owner and don't know what that means, read on. I implore you to do your research and put money aside for one. br>This is a straightforward on/off thermostat. There is only one temperature setting, and there are no bells and whistles (which means there is no alarm). Having said that, it is extremely accurate. All of my thermometers are within a few degrees of each other in terms of temperature. 3 degrees Celsius. In terms of the range and when it turns on and off, If the temperature is set to 86 degrees, for example, it will turn off once it reaches that temperature. When the terrarium's temperature falls below 1. It will turn back on if the temperature falls 1 degree below the set temperature. br>Now you see what I'm talking about. that the temperature may continue to rise after it has been turned off 1 to . 5 degrees (depending on the source of heat). This also works on the other end of the spectrum, once the temperature reaches 1. It will turn on if the temperature is 1 degree below your set point, but the temperature may continue to drop slightly before warming back up. This, too, is dependent on your heating source and the temperature in your home. So you might want to experiment with different temperatures to get the desired result. br>Again, this is useful if you're just getting started or if you're in a pinch like I was. However, I would not put my faith in this for a long period of time. Your reptiles will be referred to as this term.
Hobbyist grade products, in general, appear to be of poor quality and fail to meet the manufacturer's expectations. Having said that, this works a lot better than I anticipated. It's kept the temperature around 2 degrees F, which is about what my homemade controllers are set for. I'm going to buy another one.
Unfortunately, this device's maximum temperature is only 105 degrees Fahrenheit; I had hoped for a much higher temperature.
It's safe to say that this is my favorite thermostat. Its three outlets are one of my favorite features. I'm currently experimenting with it with two 30-minute sessions. Heat mats for 40 gallon Zoo med tanks work well. My only suggestion is to raise it higher than necessary to allow heat to pass through the bedding. (However, the directions make this clear. ).
It performs admirably. A fantastic purchase! It is something I strongly suggest.
The temperature in my cage was not kept within the set range by this controller. Fortunately, Amazon took it back. It could be a one-time occurrence or a sign of a larger issue. It is not, in my opinion, worthwhile.
This thermostat is ideal for all of my various reptiles, each of which has a different temperature requirement. They have small hooks on the back so you can hang them if necessary (I use small command strip hooks for all of mine).
I have two of these, one for my leopard gecko and the other for my ball python, and they both work perfectly. I can't say enough good things about this product. Ten out of ten stars!.
