It's a small space. Perhaps the size of a half dollar. So it's a little bigger than a quarter.
As far as I'm aware, there aren't any. They aren't particularly accurate, I've noticed. My blood pressure readings are now taken with a digital thermometer/hygrometer.

The "adhesive" was completely ineffective. At all. To get any stick, I had to scrape it with my nail. It doesn't stick in the least.

Until you can afford a more dependable and high-quality hygrometer, this is a good option. When compared to a previously owned digital hygrometer that I keep in my room, the readings are in the ballpark. This one was purchased to be kept inside the crabitat as a backup. Just in case, I'll double-check with my room hygrometer.
It comes with Velcro that you can use to attach it to the back of the tank. I peeled off the little wrapper to reveal the sticky part that I was supposed to put on the tank, but it wasn't sticky. I used some double-sided sticky tape I had on hand, but my gauge was still hanging down every morning. This them/hygro is one of my favorites. It's simple to follow and understand.
I have three thermometers and hygrometers in my possession. There are two types of dials, one analog and the other digital. My zoo med and digital ones are both within 3-minutes of each other. 2 degrees F and 5 degrees F. 4% rho of each other always rho of each other always rho of% This one is always at least 15 degrees off and always reads 100% rh.
I'm not thrilled with it, but it'll do for now. It's difficult to read, and the build quality doesn't impress me. I wouldn't put my money on its accuracy, but if you don't care about quality or accuracy, it'll suffice.
I recently purchased aquarium-safe silicone adhesive with which to adhere it to the aquarium's interior. What a let down!.
Assuming you've received a faulty one, The adhesive did not adhere to the surface at all. Maybe the adhesive had worn out because it was old. I went back to get a different type.
The paper would not easily peel away from the back to reveal the sticky part. It remained stuck for about a week before falling off the glass and becoming useless. It's extremely difficult to follow. It was a waste of money. I bought a digital with leads that go into the tank that works a lot better and isn't much more expensive than this one.
