The calcium carbonate in this stuff will cloud your water, especially since the pellets are too large for some turtles to eat in a single bite, leaving excess food strewn across the tank's bottom. Exo Terra brand pellets do not have this problem, but they are more expensive. Fortunately, comet goldfish love this stuff, so adding one to your tank will help clean up the mess and prevent cloudy water, allowing you to buy the less expensive food.
I usually order something else from this establishment, but I decided to try this. This is something I will never buy again. The food was well received by my turtles, but it did not float for very long. Most of the time, the food would sink to the bottom of the aquarium as soon as it was placed in it. I'd then have to scoop it all out, which would be difficult because of my turtle condo. It would be the if I missed any. Polluting and dirtying my tank takes time away from getting it balanced and clear.
I needed to switch my red eared slider's floating pellets because she no longer liked them. I was concerned that she would treat these the same way she treated the other brand and refuse to eat them, but she grabbed them right away. So far, everything has gone well.
br>They're a big hit with my turtles! br>Moreover, because this item is so large, purchasing it saves me money on their food.
Great product; I've had nothing but positive experiences with this seller's products in the past.
She enjoys it, and I'm glad she's remained healthy and has grown well. When I saw the price of this size container, I was astounded because it was less than half the price of one 1/2 the size at the pet store.
Fantastic product that is turtle friendly.
I'm not sure what to say about the smell or taste. That's something you'd have to inquire about with my turtles. br>I prefer the larger pellets because the fish can't eat them all, but it doesn't matter because the turtles will eat the fish eventually.
