Questions & Answers

I'm not sure how I'm going to get this can open. What should I do now that I've removed the sticker? There doesn't appear to be any way to open or turn anything! ?

You must use your finger to push it into the opening.

My tropical fish and my african dwarf frog are in the same tank. Is it okay to put these pellets in there because my fish are greedy and might eat them?

Yes, this food is safe for fish, but if you're not careful, you might end up overfeeding them. Because African dwarf frogs are prone to starvation when kept with fish, make sure you keep an eye on what the frog is eating.

We have a pond frog that is quite large. Will this food sink, preventing our water skimmer from ingesting it?

This isn't a sinking food; it's a floater. Insects, small fish, and invertebrates are the main sources of food for pond frogs.

Selected User Reviews For TetraFauna ReptoMin Select-A-Food for Aquatic Turtles, Newts & Frogs

It's easy to use and ideal for small turtles
5/5

Although my turtles are slightly larger than 2 1/2 inches, the adult food appears to be too large for them to consume. The staple pellet food is the ideal size for them, so this product is ideal. I really like how you can choose by simply twisting the top. At the top, there are four slots, two of which are filled with the standard pellet food and the other two with two different treat options. This product comes highly recommended by me for anyone who has turtles.

Good product, and a turtle favorite!br>br>I believe there should be a universal knock or doorbell ring that indicates an Amazon package is on the way
5/5

This must become a reality. I despise having to rush like a maniac to answer the door for no apparent reason. If you agree, please pass it on!.

Clawed Frogs in the Water and a Few Fish Enjoy It! Clawed frogs, both adults and babies, enjoy reptomin and appear to grow quickly on it
5/5

They're just the right size for clawed frogs in their early stages. They cram them in like a sack of potatoes. The food softens when it sits in water for a short period of time, so if they're having trouble, let it sit in there for a while and they'll usually get it down. The food is going to degrade. They also enjoy krill and baby shrimp. Krill is more difficult to come by, and this is a small krill that is ideal for baby frogs. Even the tiniest of aquatic frogs don't appear to be bothered by this small krill. Some people think it's a mess in their tank, but it floats and the frogs eat it quickly. br>br>When you first get them, some aquatic frogs are very shy and only want to eat from the bottom. All of this food floats, which makes it much easier for frogs to consume. When food falls to the bottom of the tank and becomes lodged in the rocks, it is often overlooked. They'll eventually realize the food is at the very top of the tank. You can hand-feed them for a while to train them to look up for food and become accustomed to the floating food. They must eventually reach the top in order to breathe air. When the frogs reach adulthood, you may want to move them to adult-sized reptomin because they can grow to be quite large and eat a lot. With an adult tribe of African dwarf frogs, one canister of these doesn't last long! br>br>They'll probably appeal to small African dwarf frogs as well. The reptomin pellets soften as they sit in the water, so they should be able to eat them after a while; African dwarf frogs also like shrimp, and the krill in particular would be easy to grab and eat. br>br>In addition, my Blood Parrot cichlid enjoys reptomin. She's also had a healthy rate of growth on it. The shrimp and krill in this dish do not appeal to the fish; instead, reptomin and brine shrimp cubes are preferred. Other than that, she won't eat anything else. This fish's mouth doesn't close completely, so she sucks food in with her back teeth to chew on. As a result, she has difficulty eating a variety of foods, and I believe she is also picky about the taste of other foods in general. Reptomin is the perfect size for her to take in her mouth. She is a huge fan of these and will eagerly await them. I hand feed her the pellets to ensure that she swallows them, but she can jump up and catch them from the top with some success. She can even eat the larger reptomins because they're still skinny enough to fit in her mouth despite their length. She is a picky fish who will reject a variety of foods, but her favorite is reptomin, which she has steadily grown on. My freshwater angel fish, on the other hand, are completely uninterested in it and simply ignore it. They enjoy a wide variety of foods but not reptomin, making them the polar opposite of the blood parrot in terms of preferences. br>br>Another advantage of this food is that it does not appear to clog my filters as much as some of its competitors' food. I had previously purchased another competitor's food, but the frogs and blood parrot did not enjoy it, and it was too thin to pass through the filters even on low. This food appears to be of the proper consistency and size, so it does not appear to do so. Plus, it doesn't last long; it's quickly devoured!br>br>If this review was helpful or enjoyable to read, please click the like/helpful button. Thank you very much!.

Clutter remover food is a staple diet that comes in a variety of flavors
5/5

This is an excellent way to provide your pet with a wide range of treats. It also allows you to try new things without having to deal with 14 different bottles of food. Although there are other "professional grade" foods for small reptiles, this is a reliable food that I have fed to a number of pets with great success. br>Aquatic turtles, especially those that should not be caught as hatchlings and kept in a tank for the winter to allow a child to watch a wild "child of nature" grow, enjoy it. It has a well-balanced nutritional profile, and the container has a lot of variety without being too cluttered. br>I have African Clawed Frogs (aquatic) that can thrive on this, but only the large variety, not the dwarfs. These hungry creatures will grab it (floating sticks) from your hand with their hands and stuff it into their mouth if you soften it a little. It is a good way to prevent parasites and other diseases in these frogs by feeding them live food that they would find in their natural habitat. If given nothing else to eat, even firebelly toads will eat this. It's also good for them, and you won't have to go to the pet store or raise your own crickets or bugs. br>If you're looking for a "non-traditional" meal, this is the place to go. food that is "professional" It is simple to use and obtain. It comes in a plethora of varieties to suit a wide range of animals. The variety pack is a great way to clear out some of your clutter.

This is a huge hit with my red slider
5/5

This is a hit with my turtle! This is the second one I've ordered. With four slots, it has three different types of food. Apart from that, he loves the shrimp! 2 slots have mini floating food (which is the only turtle food my turtle eats). The other resembles a powdered substance. However, for the price, it is a very good one.

This is the real deal
5/5

This stuff appears to be the genuine article. I was skeptical because I'd paid nearly twice as much for the same product in pet stores, but when I held them side by side, they appear to be identical!.

BUT WHAT ABOUT SHIPPING? THE TURTLE LIKES IT, BUT WHAT ABOUT SHIPPING? Turtle likes it, but the tube's segmented sections are useless when the tube's entire contents are buried in the bottom of the shipping bag
3/5

I ended up just dumping everything back into the tube, so the selection aspect is a waste of time, but the turtle doesn't seem to mind. However, giving him a choice as intended would have been preferable. And the fishy odor will be pleasant for the recipient of the greeting card, which arrived in the same package as the greeting card?.

Excellent food for turtles
5/5

This food is a hit with my two pet turtles! These pellets were a huge hit once my turtles were big enough to eat them. I used to feed them baby turtle pellets, but these seemed to be more appealing to them. The dried shrimp treats are a particular favorite of my turtles, and they are always eager to eat when I remove the food. This is my second purchase, and it arrived in good condition. A single container will last for several months. Leo and Mango are healthy and eager to eat the pellets and treats. I would certainly recommend it and purchase it again.
