Questions & Answers

Is the hatchling RES small enough?

The pieces come in a variety of sizes. I suppose a small turtle could break them down into very small pieces.

Could you tell me what the ingredients are, or better yet, show me a picture of them? Snails are what I'm after, and many fish foods contain a chemical that kills snails! ?

My turtles are no longer with me. This product, however, was freeze dried shrimp, as far as I recall. I'm not sure what the exact ingredients are, but I came across this on Google and thought it might be useful. On my order, the bottle size is listed as 1. They send a 35-year-old and a-year-old. 35-bottle limit? I would never have bought it if I had known how small it was. I've attached a screenshot of 1. ?

This is the only size we make in this product, so it's either a typo on Amazon's part or a typo on the part of the third-party vendor if you ordered it through Amazon. 35 oz. The product page appears to be accurate, with even a clear indication of. On the container, it says 35 oz. Customer service at Amazon is a good place to start.

Is it true that these float or if they sink?

At the very least, they float. They do, however, vanish quickly- So either my turtle eats them or they sink after some time.

Approved by the Baby Turtle! These dried shrimp are a favorite of my baby red-eared slider turtle
5/5

He can eat it right up because it's so small. When he sees me approaching, he becomes giddy with anticipation for the food. Until we put some in the tank, he tries to eat it. This is completely absurd! I bought it because of the reviews, and now I can see why. I can see this lasting a long time because there's so much in the can, and it's so inexpensive. I continue to feed him meal worms and pellets, but he devours the shrimp like a crazed, starving little turtle. He isn't, by the way. Lol. It reminds me of my 14-year-old's chicken nugget obsession. Lol.

The treat sizes are small, but the overall quality is good
4/5

In comparison to my expectations, the shrimp were small. My turtle enjoys shrimp, but he prefers large shrimp over small ones. Despite being the same species as the previous shrimp brand, these are smaller. Due to the shrimp's small size, the fish were able to consume a large portion of the turtle's shrimp before he could reach them. This size is ideal for small turtles or fish (my turtle is about 5 inches long, and the fish are about the same length). The shrimp did not turn to powder in the bottom half of the container, as some freeze-dried foods do, which is fantastic. I would buy this brand again, but first I'd like to try a couple of other brands to see if I can find a brand that makes larger shrimp.

Turtles will love it! This stuff is a big hit with my red slider turtle
5/5

He's so sick of it that he won't eat anything else! They're quite small, which I like because it makes eating easier for him. They also don't leave a bad odor in the water. I would strongly suggest it.

I'm not a turtle, and I'm not going to pretend to be one
5/5

So. Because I'm not a turtle, I can't comment on taste. It's a favorite of the diamond back terrapin I'm raising, and he'll eat all of these tiny shrimp before he eats anything else. In addition, I'm not sure what thickness means. what happened to the shrimp? I mean. It's a shrimp that has been dehydrated. It's basically paper with a shrimp flavor. But, because the little guy enjoys it, I'm giving it five stars, as I'm sure he would.

Turtle gets a messy treat
4/5

My turtle enjoys them, but the bottom of the canister is very flaky, with smaller pieces that have fallen apart, too small for my turtle to find but large enough to change the color of my water. When I'm out and about, I keep buying more because my turtle adores them.

This is what I feed to my Reef Tank
5/5

This is what I feed my triggerfish in my Reef tank. He absolutely adores them and has been eating them since I first brought him home a year ago. It's his favorite, and it's the perfect size for him at the moment because he's so small. It's marketed as a turtle food, but it's just dried shrimp at the end of the day. It is inexpensive.

My RES was not pleased with my performance
3/5

I was out of my usual shrimp (from Fluker's) and decided to try this brand because you get two containers for a reasonable price; however, the shrimp themselves are very small and appear to be less authentic than Fluker's. It has a lot more orange in it. ish, as opposed to the usual pink color I'm used to. My RES only ate a small portion of it, leaving the rest in the water until I had to clean it up later. This is just my personal experience with my RES, so I'm not sure how your turtle will react, but I believe the shrimp is of poor quality, and Fluker's is far superior.

This is a favorite of my turtles
5/5

Turtles can be picky eaters at times, but these shrimp bites will always be eaten. It's probably not something you should give them on a regular basis, but as a treat, they'll always enjoy it.
