See my review for more information. This is only good as an occasional treat for a desert or grassland tort because it's high in protein (19%) and tropical fruits that a desert tort wouldn't find in Go to tortoise.org and look up your species' care sheet. A commercial food is not recommended by the majority of keepers. It is preferable to provide them with fresh grazing grasses and vegetables. A grassland tortoise food made by Zoo Med is more appropriate (though it may not be as tasty). For my Redfoot tortoises, which are a tropical forest species that eat fruit and animal protein in nature, I gave this product five stars. As a treat, they enjoy this food. The grassland tort food is off limits as a training aid. I hope this information is useful. The
Yes, I believe so. In a dish, I put a little warm water, then the food. I place it on the tortoise lettuce once it has softened.
Well. I'm not a veterinarian, and I don't have any sulcatas, but I do have an Eastern Box Turtle and a Mexican Red-Eared Slider. I've had the box tortoise for more than 35 years, and he's quite the character. As I previously stated, he eats worms, meal worms, crickets, grasshoppers, regular worms, and so on. He's a character, but he's still as fit as a horse after 35 years. He also refuses to eat it. Mexican Red, on the other hand, This stuff is very popular with the Footed Tortoise, which I believe is a sulcatas. He came running when he heard that rattle when I first bought it (because he was only eating lettuce at the time, and we all know they can't live on lettuce alone). to say the least. It continues to do so. When he needs more, he walks up to the container and sits down, staring at it as if he's reading the label. funny. It has fruit, which is the deciding factor, in my opinion. It has a very fruity scent to it. I compared yours and mine because he's originally from northern South America, but I just read that feeding fruit to sulcatas should be avoided, so I'm not sure if this would be the best choice. Sorry I can't be of more assistance, and feeding this food is a quick fix at feeding time, but I'm not sure about yours.
Yes, this is beneficial to a forest species whose natural diet includes fruit and protein. I give it to my Redfoot tortoises as a treat and a training aid because they are tropical (S. Forest species native to North America. They enjoy it, but it isn't their main source of nutrition. Every day I feed them fresh fruits (25%) and greens (75%) along with meat protein They pick the chicken bones clean after ten days. I hope this information is useful.

For my three-year-old Sulcata Tortoise, I'm purchasing this product. The last time I went, I noticed that many of the food particles were out of shape and appeared to be made of various materials. Since she began eating from the new container, my tortoise has had diarrhea. I noticed there's a lot of low-quality color stuff in there. I don't recommend this product, and I'm going to switch it out for some high-quality tortoise food.
It's not a regular meal; we only eat it when we're between grocery trips or when we're out of produce, but they enjoy it. Soak for a few minutes to release the aromas and flavors.
The large container is well worth it. Smaller quantities can be obtained from a pet store, but they are costly. It's also unpopular with the tortoises.
My tortoise weighs more than 20 pounds, and the salespeople have been extremely helpful. The product is delivered in perfect condition by a very nice man who knocks on the door at the appropriate time. It can be found. Thank you; I hope you do not discontinue bulk sales, as they are critical to the health of my friends. My two danes are also fans of the flavor.

With this food, you can have a happy and healthy tortoise.
Except for the green ones, our tortoise enjoys this mix. She'll eat all of the other colors first, then save the green ones for last, eating them only if she's out of other options.
It's a way of life for my turtles. They aren't going to eat anything else! I've tried a lot of different diets with them, but this is by far the best!.
