Calcium carbonate, that is correct. cholecalciferol (D3) is a type of vitamin D that helps the body to absorb calcium.
I'd say at least a month, and when I feed, I only mix a small amount. At first, I was wasting more food than my animal could consume. With a little trial and error, you'll find what works best for you and your animal, but this product lasts a long time for me, and my gecko enjoys it even though she doesn't like most other flavors.
In terms of expiration, it'll be around two years. I have seven geckos, ranging in age from subadult to adult, and my Pangea bag has been with me for about four months. I haven't even reached the half-way point. I hope this information is useful.
No, leopard geckos are not included. Species that eat fruit, such as crested, day, and gargoyles, are the only ones.

I raised Bob, my crestie (named before I knew she was female: ) on Repashy and crickets, I figured I'd give something with insects already in it a shot. Even after I offered it to her several times, she would not touch it. br>br>My personal issue with the product is its lack of consistency. Because it's very mucilaginous, if you mix it to the right consistency for the crestie to eat right away (i. e. The product will gel up quickly and become semi-solid, similar to runny oatmeal. It's much more difficult for her to eat solid food than liquid food. It's too bad Bob didn't like it because the ingredients appear to be of high quality, and the portion size is substantial for the price. br>br>For your viewing pleasure, I have attached a photo of Bob:.
We took in a bearded dragon who suffers from Metabolic Bone Disease and is unable to eat plants. She can, however, lick the fruit mix smoothie, and while she's doing so, we sneak a cricket into her mouth. She's gaining weight and climbing ability thanks to the diet. br>This brand is preferred by the crested gecko.
I even tried mixing bee pollen powder with the other foods to make them "sweeter" and more appealing to the gecko (as suggested by a local breeder). No go. br>br>THEN he came across this, which he adores. After speaking with a few other breeders, I discovered that this is the only method they employ. Repashy and others, I believe, have recently begun to cause infertility and impaction in gecks. br>br>After a few months of using this, he appears to be healthier and more energetic. This is the only thing I use now that I've found a local supplier.
I was relieved to discover a new flavor that both of my boys enjoy. Others had been rejected, so I was hesitant to try something new. They had wiped the bowls clean for the first time in a long time! One needs to grow a little more to catch up, so I feel silly for being so excited. LOL.
It's becoming increasingly difficult to order something from Amazon and be confident that you'll receive the product you ordered, rather than something that someone is misrepresenting as the genuine article but has been tampered with. I've ordered from Pangea several times and have always received the product I ordered in perfect condition; this is a trustworthy seller! It is a hit with the geckos. It's a bit pricey for such a small bag, but it will last you about three months.
At first, I thought it would be a hit when combined with another flavor. No, my little one was on a hunger strike, so I put this in by itself and ate it right away! I bought a second small bag just in case, and I'll be buying a bigger bag next time. br>br>Not a hit on its own, but it's fine when mixed with Banana Apricot. Because it has a lower fat content, I'm using more of the other flavor to help me gain weight.
This product appears to be one that my crested gecko will eat. I've had her for about a year and she's only eaten once a week no matter what I've tried to feed her. My gecko is on the food in a matter of minutes when it's Pangea fruit mixed with insects, and he doesn't move until the food is gone. I highly recommend this product and plan to purchase more in various flavors.
This is my third purchase from this serler, and I've returned because my gecko prefers the same old pangea to the other brands available in the store. I've had my gecko for over a year and he's doing well. I still feed crickets now and then, but I feel more comfortable feeding my geckos this one, especially since it contains insects. It doesn't dry out as quickly as other bats and can last up to a day after being batted.
