A 55 gallon can be accommodated by the 48x13. I just took a measurement of the top and compared it to my measurements.

Prior to purchasing, I read a few reviews that claimed the screen was damaged when it arrived. I went ahead and took a chance, but guess what? It arrived damaged. One of the long edges was bent, and there were numerous scratches on the surface. There were even some areas where the paint had bubbled. All of the damage had to have occurred before it was shipped out, or it was simply poorly constructed to begin with, because the box it arrived in was in relatively good condition. br>br>I chose to keep it because the hinges were in excellent condition and the damage was minor. The center brace allows it to fit over a 55 gallon aquarium.
It was bought to go over a 55 gallon aquarium that was being used as a vivarium for anoles and a crab. who enjoy hiding and escaping! There have been no escapes so far. I used electrical tape to close the gap where the lid was a little loose in the corners. The horizontal fold makes it easy to feed and water the animals. I think this is a good idea.
It's the perfect size for my 55 gallon aquarium. I was relieved that the center support bar did not need to be removed. I'll need to get some new locks/clips because the ones I have now barely fit the lid. Other reviews mentioned blemishes or scratches, but I have no complaints about the appearance. However, I believe the cost is excessively high for what it is.
I needed a screen cover for a 55 gallon tank, and I needed one with a hinge for easy feeding and cleaning access because I was installing canister filter tubing through it. This is exactly what I was looking for! It appears to be well-made and well-fitting. It comes highly recommended from me!.
This is the right size for my 55 gallon aquarium. It was an excellent value, and it arrived promptly. The quality of the packaging was poor. It was made out of cardboard that had been folded and taped all the way around. There is no support for the length and flexibility of the lid. It was a little bent when it arrived, but my husband was able to straighten it out.
When I spend as much as I did on this particular item, I expect it to come with locking latches, not that I should have to go out and buy them separately; at the very least, I should get two for the front and two for the back.
The screen had a 2 inch bubbled paint spot and a scratch running the length of the screen in the paint when it arrived. The mesh appears to be strong, despite the frailty of the frame. The screen, on the other hand, isn't particularly sturdy. In the middle, there is definitely a need for assistance.
Because I couldn't find a way to contact the seller, I decided to leave a negative review. As you can see in the photo, the lid arrived damaged, preventing it from fitting properly. After speaking with the seller, I'll revise my rating.
