Yes. Because it's a metal screen, it'll handle the heat just fine.
The house has a total of thirteen rooms. With a lip that sits on the rim of your tank, this tank cover is 5 inches wide. However, because the bottom is solid, if your tank is a little thinner, you can simply sit it over the rim, and the platform's lip will fit over the edge of your tank. Do you understand what I mean? The solid platform is about 1 inch higher than the stand's actual lip, so it's not quite 13. 5. Like a box lid, you slid it over. It only has three sides, with no lip on the open side with the ram.
There's a certain amount of comfort here. It's a great product that's built to last.

When I go to Petco or other pet stores in the area, they never have the right sized aquarium covers, and I recently upgraded my turtles' tank to a 30 gallon tank. What I ordered and what I received in the mail were completely different; on the cover, it says 30 gallon, but I received a much larger container. Because the cover fit their 55 gallon aquarium and I had no use for it, I gave it to a friend, but now my turtle tank is without a cover. It was a reasonably sturdy cover that appeared to be long-lasting, but I was disappointed by the size difference.
This is exactly what I was looking for in a gerbil paradise for my new gerbils!! This is ideal for a 40 gallon or 30 liter tank. I also purchased extra screen clips, which ensures that our cat will not eat our gerbil for lunch! Now she can play and hang out without worrying about the cat! Thank you for your assistance, and I am very pleased with my purchase.
36x18 was received. It's an excellent cover. Unfortunately, I ordered a 36x12 lid and received a 36,x18 lid, despite the fact that the description stated otherwise. I have an unoccupied tank that could use this lid, so I'll keep it. However, I'm disappointed that the lizard in the tank I bought this for still doesn't have his lid, so I'm going to buy another one because I don't trust it won't happen again.
This was a perfect fit for my tank, and now I can place my heat lamp directly on top of the wire mesh without fear of it falling or being knocked off. The small lip provides a good seal, but there are small gaps in the lip at the corners that allow you to slip a power cord through without letting the critters out.
I've been going back-and-forth with this-and-that-and and forth trying to explain I need a 36 long by 18 wide with it that would be easier for you guys to understand I say 361812 well that's exactly what the numbers are and the screen pulls out but you keep putting the 12 in there that shouldn't be there I just put the exact number and I talk to someone the same day you were shipping it out forget the 12.
This was necessary because our turtle now has a tall basking platform. I also got the clips that keep this screen in place, but they were superfluous. These measurements were spot on and fit our 25-year-old tank perfectly.
It's a great product that works well, fits well, and is well constructed.
I gave it a 4 because mine arrived warped and a tad large, indicating that it wasn't put together perfectly during manufacturing.
