Questions & Answers

Would pristine be a better alternative than Should stability be used with it, or is it sufficient in itself?

The probiotics in your aquarium would be your digestive system's stability, and the cleanse would help you maintain a completely healthy gut. To maintain stable tanks, you need the kind of bacteria that converts ammonia into nitrates, which is why stabilization is necessary if we lack the bacteria required. Whenever I want to deep clean, I use pristine one month per year.

Do you think this is safe to use for The shrimp in my aquarium are freshwater species. ?

With my freshwater planted aquarium, I have been managing my shrimp population with Pristine for some months without any

What will this mean for all the fish poop and food stuck in the gravel beds?

To accomplish this, you can purchase Peroxide fond at your local There is 30mg of our L-diamine per litter that will breakdown fish poop and any other organic material. Make sure you use ORP when using peroxide and stay below 400 mV DOSING will result in a jump in ORP #Mv.

Do you know if this is more effective than Prime? I am currently using Prime and have film in my tank along with general horrible performance. ?

As the tank fills up with gunk, a bacteria known as Prune helps break it down. It is a chemical used in tap water to detoxify ammonia and remove chlorine. My tank has been using pristine for two weeks now, and I have noticed a dramatic change in the nitrate levels and the film on the water's

In light of the fact that the Amazon product description does not provide anything about this product, I thought I'd share the label information with you. This product uses biologically active ingredients An augmentation that does not replace the need for A natural and chemical method to improve the quality of water. By producing bacteria that digest excess food, waste, and detritus in freshwater and marine systems, it assists in the breakdown of pollutants. In addition, excess nutrients will be reduced (e. g. Ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites) can fuel the growth of nuisance and disease-causing organisms Organisms that are responsible for causing disease. Enhances the clarity of water in aquatic environments and promotes the overall health of the aquatic environment by using PureTM. As a result, PristineTM bacteria can live in fresh or salt water, and utilize a wide range of organic compounds, including fats that can cause unsightly films on surfaces. By contrast to conventional nitrifying bacteria, this blend can thrive in extreme environments, as well as low oxygen environments, where it will continue to multiply and improve water quality. The polymers produced by bacteria in established colonies improve water clarity by trapping particulates. There are numerous species of bacteria in PristineTM, which have been selected for their hardiness and their capability of adapting to numerous The dimensions are You may have to shake well before use. It is available in sizes of 100 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL, 4 L, and 20 L. You need to turn ozone and UV off. For 40 L of water (10 US gallons), use 1 capful (5 mL). When livestock is added or if the biofilter is disrupted due to cleaning or medications, you should administer 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 L (20 US gallons) in order to maintain the filter. After removing antibiotics, a water change should be performed and fresh carbon should be added to the water. Prior to using UV sterilizers or ozone, you should wait 2 to 3 days for the bacteria to establish themselves. Overstocking, overfeeding or inadequate filtration are three of the most common causes of high nutrients.

It's truly an amazing product that I will use for a long time! Because I have an overstocked African Cichlid population, I've been having difficulty keeping the water parameters in good condition for quite a while
5/5

Until I discovered this product I was getting very frustrated. There have been so many problems that I have been changing my water every 5 to 7 days and after 2 days, my water becomes blurry and the nitrites/nitrates are getting bad My curiosity had been piqued until I found this product, and I was a bit skeptical. It was a risk I took, though. My nitrites/nitrates are pretty low since last week. I haven't done any water changes in the past week. Even after six days, the water is still crystal clear. The next time I have to do water changes, I may be able to wait a few extra days. In the future, I'll be more inclined to purchase this product in order to keep my life easier, and I trust that my cichlid species benefit from the improved water parameters in their aquariums.

Good results when you least expect it

Or so I thought when it came to my aquarium water. With this device, I will not be worried about the clarity of the water in my Oscar tanks due to the gravel not having to be filtered as much. As a result, you can now tell that the water is much clearer. In fact, the water is absolutely clear and I never realized that I had been overlooking how much clearer it could be, but now it looks like the fish are This is why I am going to get a larger bottle!.

I really do have fish floating in outer Oh my gosh! The product I just purchased, as well as all Seachem products, is excellent! I am amazed at this pristine condition
5/5

When I started my tank, I used too much Seachem Stability. We didn't really mean to do it that way. A dose for a 5 gallon is one and there is no dose for a 2 gallon. The amount of Stability in one 25ml capsule is one fourth of a cap. Since it is more like a 1/2 cap, I put it in there. I have a betta, so I guess it's ok. The bioloads of Bettas are not large. The bacteria were just building up much faster than nitrite and ammonia. A thick biofilm was formed as a result of this. The bacteria did not have a chance to catch up with my cycle. The biofilm I had to deal with was very thick. My cycle would eventually end and the problem would go away. That is exactly what happened. That biofilm fell like snow to the gravel, however. As a result, when I change the water, I would have to clean up that mess. Float around the tank as you please. There was nothing good about it. My nitrifying bacteria hadn't yet established, so I added Pristine. I had talked to Seachem about it and they suggested waiting until the bacteria had established themselves. After waiting for some time, I took action. Adding pristine was the next step. The bacteria entered the jar and began But man oh man it literally looked as if the bacteria were eating away at the biofilm sediment, my whole tank started to look The mountains appeared to have a ribbon of fog running through them. It was really very worrisome to hear this. My tank became cloudy due to the purity of the product at first. It took 48 hours for results to show up. As of Friday morning, it had been added. I saw the results for the first time on Sunday night when i got home. What a deal. There is NO doubt about it! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm so happy now! The part of me that wanted to think that I had messed something up, was really wanting that. My dread was just like I was going to have to start from scratch and do a 100% water change. That wasn't the case at all! The only thing I needed to do was My jaw dropped when I saw this! There is nothing I love more than They have a lot of great It is a company I trust It's an amazing company with great customer service! Please feel free to email them through their website if you need anything. I I have updated As a result, I am still satisfied with this vacuum cleaner. The gravel vacuum is definitely easier to use. My mystery snail loves zucchini but I like to give it to her. A single piece of fish can usually be left in the tank for 24 hours before being removed. The piece will be removed and I won't add another one for another 24 hours. It was the first time I did this after my tank had been completely colonized with Pristine bacteria. It was like sleeping in an aquarium filled with crystal clear water. After waking up the next morning, I noticed that it was extremely cloudy. The bloom was obviously caused by bacteria. A reaction to the zucchini was obvious to me, and I immediately suspected it was the pristine. Thus, I emailed Seachem to explain what I have been experiencing. Upon getting back to me, they confirmed that the zucchini was indeed the culprit. There is no zucchini in my dish now. However, you have changed 50% of the water in the past 36 hours and the bloom is only just subsiding at this time. It is not my intention to reduce my rating. This product is supposed to aid in the digestion of zucchini, which is exactly what it does. Describe how organics are broken down. You may want to keep this in mind if you are going to add large amounts of salad and vegetables to snails or invertebrates. As long as I feed my snail veggies, I'll keep it. There will be no time for it to stay in the tank for more than two hours at most.

Provides a way to keep things clean
5/5

An aquarium filled with plants in fresh water is correctly stocked. The cleanliness of a place seems to improve with pristine conditions. After weekly water changes for several months, I dosed it after weekly water changes to promote a healthy bacterial population in the tank and filters. In addition, very few bacteria are removed from the system during water changes, so I do not dose it anymore. I'm not sure how much Pristine does. However, it does seem to alter the water's pH and help fat particles and other dirt particles get into the filter instead of creating mulm. As a general principle, you should take a full 250 or 500 ml bottle from time to time, but there's no need to continue adding more after that, because the bacteria will be established.

The boost was just what I needed

After 3 days, I cut my nitrates in half. The regular process of cleaning and changing water had gone smoothly for a time when the nitrates started to add up. As soon as I added it to the routine, the nitrates went in the opposite.
