Questions & Answers

In what way can this be used in a Iota (for people, ?

There are other distributors on Amazon that sell food grade activated charcoal, so you don't have to depend on that seller. It has to be food-grade meaning that if you can consume it, then you can use it to filter your water that you will also consume. *br> *br>I recommend that you buy large quantities from EnviroSupply.

I have a 40 gallon tank. How much carbon should I put in?

I have 2 Marineland 350 filters with 4 slots each. Your experience may vary based on the type of filter you have. In order to place the carbon in the cartridge media, I bought 4 of the Marineland Cartridge Media Refill Penguin. In other words, your answer depends on how you put it together. To sum up, put as much energy into it as possible. After the water starts to smell of fish again, change the charcoal. I have a 50 gallon tank. It takes around two minutes for the tank to fill. After smelling fishy for 5 months. Use one half cup of charcoal to make it last.

The water is filtered with a marineland penguin power filter with a multi-stage system There is a two-stage filtration process. I have a 50 gallon tank and would like to put this carbon on it. ?

Based on Marineland's website, it appears that some Penguins lack a refillable carbon cartridge for filtering. Refillable filters are used to place the carbon. Put the carbon into the tank rather than directly into it. Inside the Penguin, you should see a rectangular grey colored "basket-like" thing You can open the "like" object by removing the unwanted object and pressing the tab. Replacing the old carbon material with Black Diamond Media is a good way to maintain its integrity. You should reconfigure the cartridge after rinsing it in fresh water to remove carbon dust. Once you have finished, replace the cartridge in your Penguin and wait a few days I wish you the best of

Making better cat litter with this would be as follows What if it were pebbles? Would this not get scooped out when you scoop out What do you do with the pulverized mix ?

* Hello Kevin, I'm not sure whether I would recommend either of these services. The simplest form of activated carbon is one made from coal baked into a solid form. *That's about as organic as it gets, but don't lose sight of the fact that various metals actually occur in the coal vein as well. Iron is a notoriously high element in some of the cheaper carbons available. Located among the best carbons in its class, this material has a great carbon content. In my experience, jars of this have never moved much, as iron isn't something you want in your reef. For this reason, I run a magnet around the jar before I use it, and there is never any iron on the surface. I am not worried about how this might hurt my cat from the standpoint of whether it might hurt. Then again. The carbon in the atmosphere is filthy. *br>Being pelleted carbon the dust is less than granular carbon, but would you want your cat scratching on something that might leave a black stain that will then be dragged around your house after a few days? In order to make it dustier, pulverizing it would not be an appropriate method. While I think that this product is a fine product for filtering water, as that is what it is manufactured for, I believe that there are better products available for controlling the odor of IF you want to use it for that purpose I would suggest putting it in a net bag or using some old panty hose that can be cut up with scissors, and keeping it secure that way so it can be put in the corner of the litter box. * Alternatively, you could also rinse it under cold water once the bag has been sealed, then let it air dry for a day before using it.

Alcohol filtering is excellent with this product
5/5

In a homemade filter for moonshine, I use this. My shine is MUCH smoother as a result. My research indicates most people use coconut or oak charcoal for this purpose, but since this was free, I thought it would be worthwhile to try this. All of my friends say my shine is the smoothest they have ever.

It is excellent for using as a filter in fish tanks
5/5

It has been at least 15 years since I started using Marineland activated carbon for my fish tank. When I take 4- ounce portions, I typically get a couple years' worth of use out of it The interval between replacements is five months. There is a recent change in the size of the carbon chips. From what I understand, this will increase the surface area of the carbon for filtration. I am able to clear up my water after replacing my carbon every time. For water hobbyists, this book is highly recommended.

This is not a happy day
3/5

Saltwater fish have been a part of my life for the last forty Carbon that has ever been used by me was the dustiest and most disintegrated. The process of gentle washing takes about 20 minutes. It is not enough to just use a fine filter bag, because otherwise you will find fine particles in your tank and the protein skimmer will turn black. Carbon dioxide emissions from shipping are still unacceptable even if they are due to a shipping issue. Therefore, it works as long as you are willing to deal with the issues listed above.

I was able to remove yellow discoloration from my saltwater
5/5

My tank has been discolored yellow as a result of a yellow substance. My water has still turned yellow after I changed it by 50%. I have been tuning my skimmer every day, but it is The purigen and carbon finally cleared within an hour after I ordered them. The old canister filter is what I used for it. Before I put the canister on top of the purigen, it was there for 1 day. In less than an hour, the cloud cleared. Is a miracle. They are organics dissolved in water that can only be removed by them. There is a difference between running it through a reactor and not. It turned out to be a good buy. Aside from that, the price is well worth it.

The odor absorption mixture is mixed with kitty litter, but it's messy
5/5

It was recommended by others on Amazon to be used as an odor absorber for litter boxes. I bought this to add to my cats' litter. Definitely, it does absorb odors, and I don't even have to mix in too much of it to get the job done. You should also be aware, however, that it tends to make things a bit messier since the cats track the litter outside of the box, as well as any that sticks It's important to scrub the white tiles in the bathroom and my white-pawed cat now has slightly black, charcoal-colored spots on its paws Having colored paws (my other cat has a black coat, which I can't see on his feet). I know people who take charcoal internally to aid digestion and brush their teeth with it (I have seen people use it as toothpaste). Even though the cleaning is not that big of a deal, anyone with white furniture, or who owns clean-freak tendencies, might want to keep in mind. the charcoal runs out in this canister, I may go without it and see if the litter I am currently using absorbs enough odors without it. It is possible that the product will do just as well without it however, it will NOT be bought again unless it does have that feature.

The carbon in this aquarium is of great quality
5/5

I use it in my reef aquarium that has a lot of fish. After trying many brands, I always come back to this brand since I got into the saltwater hobby in 2009. I keep a heavily stocked reef aquarium and always use this product. Water is polished and odors are removed. A high end package can be very attractive, but stay away from it. Maritimeland is on the right track.

Added carbon filter to grow tent filter and replaced/refilled it
5/5

An exhaust filter is available for a 3x3 grow tent of stainless steel. Filters were removed by removing 3 screws on top and bottom, and the old carbon was removed (the new carbon was the same size as the old carbon in the filter). You will be using the mesh bag again, so take care not to tear it inside! I just refilled the filter with new carbon, folded in the mesh bag, put the screws back on, and all was well. We just got the brand new one! Unlike the filter that originally came with this carbon, I believe it works better! I have not smelled anything and my plant has been in flower for over a month without any issue. Make sure not to waste funds by wasting the expensive house on junk, just do it yourself and save some money!.

It is useful for whitening teeth as well as for multiple other purposes
5/5

Click on the photos to see more. This activated carbon (or charcoal) first came into my possession in July of 2015 and over a year later I've still only used a cup or two. We would have no need to replace the 40 oz container for a long time. In addition to a filtration system for aquariums and water, this product can be used to remove odors, and to moisturize skin. For whitening my teeth, I bought the activated carbon (just search for activated carbon for teeth whitening). In addition, it is extremely messy since it will stain a white sink, as well as anything else. If you want to grind it down into powder (to whiten your teeth), you can use a coffee grinder or food processor. Our standard tooth brushes aren't meant for this type of use. Even after two years of storing it closed and in a cool, dry place, it still looks brand A very high quality, made in the USA product. I think this is a great product and a great deal here at the Uploading some photos so you can see it closer and get an idea of its size. Smile. I hope this helps!.
