Questions & Answers

Would you mind telling me how much I need to set up a 75 g ?

My recommendation would be to use the largest bottle you can find when setting up a new tank There is a presumption that the more bacteria you have in your filter, the better, but in general, I don't recommend this because the bacteria in the bottles is a temporary filler and that the real bacteria will eventually Unless you want to spend more money, I'd recommend you purchase nite out II from microbelift or Dr tim's one and only (relatively expensive), since these items contain the actual bacteria your filter requires.

A 6 gallon tank requires a 2 liter bottle. What size bottle do you recommend?

There are eight of them. In comparison to the 1oz and 4oz, we found the 4 oz to be a more affordable option. You can get it for a little less. In any case, it is necessary to have this item each time you change the water. There are some who don't add more when they do a water change, but when you take the water out of the tank, you're also taking out some of the bacteria, that's why you have to replace it. Nitrifying bacteria like this are by far one of my favorites. It's good for a tank to cycle this way. In addition to that, this bacteria is something that cannot be overdosed with. For a six gallon tank, you should add three to four full caps to get a good amount of bacteria in there to begin After adding your first fish, you can see it in the list. It is best to wait for a few weeks after the first fish has been added before adding It will help feed the bacteria if you put in the first fish. In this way, you will achieve the ecosystem you want in a few weeks. honest, when people get their first aquarium, some people put way too many fish in there and it can be a It is likely that they will lose a lot of fish as a result of the tank not being an Prior to adding a lot of fish, you want to ensure that the ecosystem is in place. This is why you can have one fish within the size of your tank with the addition of the bacteria that will begin creating a thriving It is possible to add more in a few weeks. Make sure you have a heater if you are keeping tropical or saltwater fish. Goldfish do not require a heater, so it is not necessary to have one. Your fish should also get accustomed to their new environment. You are welcome to contact me with any questions you may have.

Can anyone tell me what size breeder tank I need for a 40 gallon ?

On day one there must be 25 ml of bleach per 10 gallons (100 ml) and then 10 ml per 10 gallons on days 2 and 3 (40 ml per day), totaling 180 ml for a 40 gallon bread machine. During the week, I add 5 ml of sustainment per 10 gallons of water The method is an excellent way to increase the number of beneficial bacteria in the body and keep them in the body. You're going to have a lot of fun with it!

When I put this in a new tank, how quickly will it cycle it? How long will the bacteria live in the tank or will it die off after a few days? What is its status? Is it always cycling?

API Stress Zyne Plus is a product I would recommend. It took me several weeks to get my fish to live. After the tank had cycled for almost eight weeks, it was time to clean it. To begin, try to get two or three fist at a time. Ensure the amonia levels remain low by testing regularly. After the tank has cycled, it should have reached 0 by then. Once you have fish you'd like to keep, you can get them.

In just 15 days, we cycled a 20 gallon fishless tank! During a new fishless cycle of a 20 gallon tank I used Fluval Cycle biological

It was impossible for me to seed from a tank that already existed The Java Ferns that I bought for the tank are healthy. Using an online search, I have figured out how to do the fastest fishless cycle. You can see how it went below! 1) Day One I used the Fluval bacteria as instructed on the bottle. I also added 4 drops of Dr. Tim's ammonia per gallon
Added a tiny bit of fish food. I turned the heater down a few degrees to increase aeration. A dose of bacteria as instructed is given

Don't buy this product, you will regret it
3/5

I have had this fish for almost 7 years now, and it has been through so much over the years that it is more like it was supposed to last up to 12 years if well taken care of. Sadly, this product finally met its match shortly after it was added. My old friend was lying upside down and dead on the aquarium floor when I woke up this morning. If you want to give your fish healthy water, don't buy this product. I was trying to help my fish and it ended up making the water in my aquarium worse. I'm sorry to see you go, The picture is graphic for fish lovers (graphic for those who like fish).

A GOOD PRODUCT THAT I JUST STARTED USING NOW I'M BUYING The product has now proven its worth, so I am upgrading my rating to 5 stars, after tentatively giving it 4 stars, before
5/5

This is a highly recommended book. There are many new fish in the tank after just a couple of days of use and it remains crystal clear. After ordering it again, I immediately placed another order. Having used Jungle StartZyme for years, I gave Tetra SafeStartPlus a try. This product is my new "best buy" for any kind of tool. While they've worked rather well, I was planning to find a cheaper price and a larger size for "start-up" cultures. My choice of this item was based on the fact that FluvalHagen is an established, respected name and the product description was better than those I was considering. We only tested it once but noticed a noticeable difference in the tank overnight when we used it. After reading through many of the reviews for these "quick start" products for bacteria, I noticed that many people had negative things to say saying they are useless or they don't work. There IS a benefit to using these! The short version is that the tank must cycle in order for fish to survive and be healthy in an aquarium. A filtration process cannot replace the natural cycle of beneficial bacteria that eat up the waste produced by fish and the fish's environment. In an aquarium, uneaten food is left. In order to accomplish this, bacteria must be present. bacteria in a bottle take care of that much faster, for the most part instantly.

I also noticed some users were adding this before they put fish in the tank. There is a connection between bacteria and fish. It is pointless to apply this type of product to an empty tank -- the bacteria must consume the fish waste so they can grow! In order for the process to work properly, fish need bacteria to prevent them from getting sick or dying in their own waste. The following are a few helpful suggestions for those new to fishkeeping Fish who are overfed are the most likely to die. If the fish don't clean up after themselves within 5 minutes, do not feed more! You'll find it's a lot less than you thought. Even though it's fun to feed the fish, every bit left over in the tank immediately pollutes it, which is what kills them. It is better to have several small meals than one large meal. If you have a lot of fish in your tank, the "rule" is to not add more than one inch of fish per gallon of water, and the bigger the fish the messy it will be! If you want all the fish at the same time, don't add them all You can then add your first few fish after you have set up the tank with this product. This can be done the first day, there is no need to look at an empty tank but make sure you feed the fish As the filter begins to populate with bacteria, you can calculate how much food changes to feed. You can add a few more fish to the aquarium if the water is clear, does not smell bad, and the fish are doing well. Once you have successfully established the aquarium, proceed to the regular water changes so that "old water" is removed and "new water" is introduced. You should do about a third of the volume of liquid bacteria every month after you have successfully established the aquarium. Regardless of the type of fish or aquarium, it's essential to switch out the water frequently, to light feed and to stir up the bacteria in the aquarium. Whether it is a Betta in a jar or a fancy fish tank full of exotic fish, whatever it is, you should take good care of it.

I found a bottle of nitrates in the fridge
3/5

It's fine, I know how a nitrogen cycle works but I can never really tell how a cycle progresses with stuff like this. The tank I've been trying to cycle has been in the water for over a month, and nothing has happened. In addition to constantly reading, I have been engaged in other activities as well. It contains 5 ppm ammonia, 0 nitrites, and 0 nitrates, along with a handful of fish, (I have been using prime to keep the fish healthy, do not worry). As a result, I decided to buy a bottle of this stuff to help it along. Following the initial test, I repeated it 24 hours later. The reading was 5 ppm ammonia, 0 nitrites, and 5 ppm nitrates, which I thought was way too quick to have nitrates, and that I had 0 nitrites was not making sense. After the second dose, the drug was tested. It comes close to the same thing. Only 5 ppm of nitrates, 0 ppm of nitrites, and maybe 7 or 8 ppm of nitrites. That made no sense to me. Since the first day I set up my aquarium, I have never found any nitrites even at the slightest level in it. Nitrates are not stable in the absence of nitrites. This led me to believe that the nitrates in the Fluval bottle were coming from there. It was nitrate free when I tested it first in about 50 ml's of fresh tap water that was mixed with 10 drops of it. It took only about 30 seconds for the nitrate test to go off the scale when I tested this mixture. Thus, I am adding this stuff to my tank and therefore am seeing a rise in my nitrate reading in my tank. When I am introducing nitrates into my tank, it is difficult to follow the progress of my cycle.
